*Kelvack, still in his liquid state, groans.*
"Dangit, I wasn't rested up completely when it started to
rain!"
*Slowly the puddle forms Kelvack's body. He leans on the
rock, apparenly still exausted.*
"If I only rememberd that spell..."
*He nods and chants an encantation. As if given new
strength, Kelvack stands up and begins walking towards the
portal.*
"Stop."
*He turns around to se Soul staring at him.*
"What?"
"Don't go in. They'll kill you."
"Oh..."
*Kelvack then sits down in front of the portal and begins
to mumbles all sorts of spells.*

"I
do not wish to abandon my companions, and I have a plan that
should let me stay at their side. I dislike the Council - they
like to think of themselves as the all-mighty overseers of the
different planes, and this arrogance is pretty much what I
would expect of them. I will join Jihon and Tamrissa, to
ensure that if worst comes to worst, they will have a choice
about whether they will face the Council's judgement or live
as renegades.
You seem to have plans of your own, but you can join me if
you wish..."
Meanwhile, in the Council Chamber, the twelve Council
members sit in large, gold-wrought thrones up on a large
podium. Jihon and Tamrissa, still chained, are led forward by
the guards.
One of the Council members rises, and looks as if he is
about to speak...
And with the sound of tearing reality, a Warp Gate opens in
the Council Chamber. Shocked that their formidable magical
defences have been penetrated so easily, all the remaining
Council members spring to their feet. The guards in the
Council Chamber lower cruel halberds level with the Warp Gate
in fear of what might emerge.
From the red chaos behind the Gate steps Soul Reaver. His
sword is in the sheath on his back. He steps confidently from
the gate, ignoring the guards. As he steps forward, two more
figures materialise from the gate...
The two creatures are both at least two metres tall, and
equally broad. Their bodies are completely covered with a husk
of shining, living steel. Their heads are set down the front
of their bodies and fused to their torso. No features can be
found on thier faces other than their two burning red eyes.
Each of the Daemons grasps a massive black broadsword at least
the length of a man in a single hand. They are the generals of
Inferno, the Steelhearts.
The two Greater Daemons flank Soul Reaver on both sides as
the gate pulses out of existence behind him. The guards
retreat backwards, wide-eyed at the sight of the awesome
creatures.
Soul Reaver's voice is heard by Tamrissa and Jihon I
cannot abandon you to face this on your own. Forgive me for
being late... I had to call on these two bodyguards so that I
would not be attacked upon entering the Upper Umbra. I have
the feeling they wanted you two alone.
On looking closer at Soul Reaver, several Council Members'
faces show a flicker of recognition. A strong-featured,
elderly man near the front shouts towards the
warrior. "What is the meaning of this!? Why are you here,
Soul Reaver, and why did you bring these foul beings with
you??"
"Good day, Council Members. I see you remember some of our
previous meetings... I am glad I left an impression from those
brief, fleeting times we spoke." He bows to the
Council.
"I do not mean to bring violence to your court, and I can
assure you that these Steelhearts are under my control.
However, I am also certain that your plans for me would have
been rather unkind had I not brought these bodyguards with
me.
I have come here to stand at the side of Jihon and
Tamrissa. I fought with them against Cerberis, and I can vouch
for them if needs be. I want to see them treated justly in
these proceedings, and so I have come to observe this...
trial... personally."
Soul Reaver draws Blooddrinker. The guards start towards
him, but they quickly retreat once more at the echoing growl
of one of the Steelhearts. Soul Reaver gently places the sword
on the ground in front of the Council, then steps back from
it.
"I have made my gesture of peace and goodwill. I will
dismiss these two Daemons if you do the same."
He sets an intense gaze on the Council and awaits their
response.

*The
Council memebers looks at Soul Reaver, no expression on their
faces, because they seldom show expression. All at once, the
council speaks together in a monotone voice.*
HIGH COUNCIL: We understand what you want Soul Reaver, but
your presence is not needed. We, the Higher Council believe in
a fair trial, and a fair trial is what we intend Jihon to get.
We are a just council. We should punish you for this act of
insolence. Please remove yourself from the Courtyard, or face
the penalties of your actions.
SABRE SOLDIER: I will have to agree with the council on
this one Soul Reaver*Soul Reaver looks around to see a
figure in a white robe walk from the darkness, noticing the
character as Sabre Soldier*The Higher Council is very
honest in law, and are very just. There is no need for you to
be here. I will make sure everything goes as planned.
*The Higher Council stands up as Sabre Soldier enters the
room. Looking somewhat surprised at his presence. Sabre
Soldier's eyes glow a deep emerald green, and radiates a faint
white energy. One of the Higher Council removes himself from
his position, and flys down to the marble floor.*
PILLIARE: Fei Serumen, are you going to defend
these...these vermin?
SABRE SOLDIER: Yes I am. Jihon deserves a fair trial and
that's what he is going to get. Soul Reaver, I respect your
will to witness the trial, but this is no place for someone of
your stature. I promise that Jihon will get the Trial that he
deserves. Please leave peacefully. I do not want any violence
within these walls.
*Pilliare, The Higher Council member looks over at Soul
Reaver, and smirks in arrogance. The Members very presence is
burning the 2 daemons that are with Soul Reaver. After taking
much torment from the mans presence, the 2 daemons fall back,
entering into the rift.*

"If
that is how you will treat my bodyguards, then I have no
reason to trust you."
Soul Reaver flicks his wrist, and Blooddrinker reappears in
his hands.
"Obviously you have no faith in my own word, so I see no
reason to trust yours or your claims for a 'fair trial'. I
will observe these proceeding, whether you wish me to or not,
though if you so dislike my physical presence, then, out of
respect for Sabre Soldier, I will watch from afar. Attempt to
to block my scrying if you wish, but I belive that the results
of such an action would not be to your liking. Finally, I am
not under the juristiction of your 'laws', and so you have no
right to punish me. Any attempt to do so will be met with
intense opposition."
Soul Reaver then casts a Discorporate spell, his misty body
flowing from the Council Chamber and outside into the city.
From there, he weaves a large Scrying spell to observe the
proceedings in the court. Soul Reaver's face is impassive, but
he seethes with anger at the Council's presumptious
arrogance.
(ooc: Sabre, please be a bit more co-operative with the
posts of other people. The 'council' had not been defined yet
in character, so I do not appreciate you re-writing my
interpretation of them.)

((ooc: Soul Reaver, I understand what you were talking
about, but I didn't have time to finish typing from the
entering in of the Courtyard, where I was going to give a
description of the Higher Council, and how they were, etc....
By the time I was going to finish it the next day, you had
already posted, so I tried to work from that. I did not
attempt to contradict your post. Just merely working with what
you've already posted. You and I want 2 different things to
happen here. I'm trying to bridge them together. Nothing
deliberately meant to be offensive.....Anyways))
Well then, I see you have nothing to worry about now
Pilliare. You may return to your seat. *Pilliare, in a
snort of contempt, flys back up to his seat where he crosses
his arms.* As you all know, we are here to make a judgement
against Jihon, based upon the actions that he has committed. I
will not participate in this judgement, for I have fought
along side of Jihon, and I believe that he is innocent for his
actions, because he has had no control of his actions in my
belief. As for you, fellow High Council Members, you are to
determine his guilt or innoscence. *Sabre Soldier looks
over at Jihon.*Jihon, I am sorry to say, that because of
your unstability, we, the Higher Council will have to take
away your privilage as a Guardian. I hope you
understand.*Sabre Soldier looks back at the Higher
Council* I do not understand what you want with Tamrissa,
and any offenses she has committed, may they be passed on to
me, for I take responsibility, as her being a childer of mine.
As evidence of this, she possesses the Kurusunami. May the
Trial Continue.
*Sabre Soldier looks at Soul Reaver through the gate he has
made, and nods to him, stating that everything is okay.
Afterwards, he turns to Tamrissa and smiles slightly, almost
as if he was nervous, then proceeds to fly to the other side
of the room, and sits down in a seat up high behind everyone,
where he can see the council. The other 12 council members
close their eyes, and form a link between them. As they do
this, Jihon is flooded with memories that he never knew about,
as of what happened when Cerebris possessed him. These
thoughts were almost too much to bear, but he manages to hold
himself together. When the images stop flashing through his
head, the Council Members stand up, and walk down the 2
spiraling staircases that flow down the sides of the room,
where they line up infront of Jihon, and Tamrissa. Each of
them pull out an elaborated dagger. A servant brings a gobblet
that rests on a stand, and places it between the Line of
council members, and Jihon.
((OOC: Okay, I want to try something different. There are
12 council members. I want each of you to play the role of one
of the council members. You get to determine if that council
member believes that Jihon is Guilty or innocent. This is
where it can lead to different possibilities Soul Reaver. This
is what I was trying to do. Anyways, any Council members left
over I will flip a coin for each, and base their judgement off
of that. When they slit their wrist into the goblet; If their
blood flows red, then that Council member believes that Jihon
is Guilty, if their blood flows black, then that council
member believes that Jihon Innocent. This will repeat for
Tamrissa as well. This is all up to you guys. Just type in
what color their blood flows, and we will base an overall
judgement based on ratio. I hope you guys like this idea. I'll
do the first one, and you guys can follow after that.))
*The first Council member looks into Jihons eyes and slices
his wrist. His blood is a deep ***red*** in color. The council
member smiles ignorantly at Jihon, then walks over, where he
stands infront of Tamrissa, waiting for the others.*

The
next council member recives the goblet. He is a non-human, his
head bearing a bony crest and horns. His deep blue eyes rest
on Jihon as he slides his wavy-bladed dagger across his wrist.
Black blood flows from the wound and pools in the Goblet.
The nods and passes the Goblet on.
Meanwhile, Soul Reaver watches through the Scrying spell.
He makes no move yet, though a flicker of a smile does cross
his face as the black blood drips into the vessel.

There is a sudden flash, and two armored figures appear
beside Soul Reaver. Soul Reaver draws his sword to defend
himself, but lowers it when he realises that the figures are
making no move to attack him. Both the armored figures have
strange devices on the shoulder pads of their armour. A plate
engraved into the right shoulder pad of the suits, under a
symbol of what looks to be a drop of blood with wings, read
"Blood Angels Chapter, Adeptus Astartes". The left
shoulder pads have engravings under a strange symbol depicting
a armed soldier holding a fireball in one hand. These read
"Flame Lords Squadron". One of the figures steps forward,
Removes his helmet, and salutes Soul Reaver.
"Soul Reaver! We've been looking everywhere for you!"

cLuTcHFieND motions the other figure over.
"It's great to see you again, Soul. I thought I'd never
find out where you guys went. You remember Kalana, don't you?
From the whole Phyrexia mess?"
The other figure removes it's helmet, revealing a young
looking female with light blue hair.
(disclaimer: Whenever Kalana talks, her speech will be
preceded by this. just so no
one gets confused. :) )
"Good to
see you again, Master Reaver."
cLuTcHFieND's happy expression suddenly becomes worried. He
turns back to Soul Reaver.
"So what's going on? Where's Jihon, Sabre Soldier, and
everyone else?"

*As
Jihon sees the next counsil member stepping forth to the
gobblet his chest begins to rise and fall rapidly as his fear
is greatly increased. The council member slices his wrist open
as the blackened blood flowsinto it. Jihon begins panting like
a dog he is very fearfull for his life... For once. He knows
the council could have taken his inmortality years ago but it
was against their will to do so without proper accord.
Suddenly Thisias' voice shatters through Jihon as his falls to
his knees.*
Jihon please don't worry. Evan if you are guilty there
is always the option of a tournement... That is if they do not
imprison the others as well. Just relax.
*The next council member steps forward.*

*the
next council member approaches. He is a shorter man, with very
distinguishing features about him. He looks very frail, and
thin. Power radiates from him, giving Jihon and Tamrissa a
very disturbing discomfort. He looks Jihon straight in the
Eyes, then smiles at him. Not a threatening smile, but just a
peaceful smile. He then slices his wrist. Nothing happens at
first, and he looks puzzled. After a moment, a trickle of
black blood falls into the goblet. His wound then closes, and
he pulls his arms back, and walks to be back of the line. His
eyes follow Sabre Soldier, as Sabre Soldier gets out of his
seat and jumps down to the floor.*
