"Asaki Masako? The Force Commander wishes to talk to you."

The soldier thrusts the com into Asaki's hands and walks away quickly.

"Welcome to the bridge."

I’m Ella Bliant, daughter of Brigid, whom I assume you’ve met. She had other business and sent me to find you. And why should I hate machines?

She tilts back her head to look up at the triton, blue eyes becoming wide.

I’ve never seen anything like this, but you show me the basics to operating anything and I can figure out the rest.

Awed eyes return to Thisahon’s face and she shrugs at his skeptical look.

It’s a talent, believe it or not.

She reaches up and grabs his hand, allowing him to pull her into the machine. She sits down in the fold down seat provided for her and shoves her pack down beside the chair. Her attention goes immediately to the various controls, hands on her knees and looking itchy to start experimenting with what each button, shifter and gauge does.

I’ve driven many types of hover vehicles on land, I’ve co-piloted a few transport ships, I’ve even went on a few support missions…repair ships basically, but I’ve never seen, ridden or drove in anything like this. It must have some similarities to regular ships though, so I should be fine.

Her eyes catch on a few of the weapons controls and she tilts her head.

I’ve always wanted to pilot a fighter, but on my home world we haven’t seen war in ages, so there was no opportunity. Anyway, what do you need me to do?

Aldaris points at the map.

"This is a map of the city of Kelvaris, the last remaining Space Marine controlled teritory on the planet. Everything outside of the walls of the city is a warzone. We are constantly fighting to keep the enemy outside the walls. The red circle is our on-site command center, Kelvaris HQ. The blue circle is the landing zone. That is where you and The Commander and Second Officer will be landing. There is also apperantly another member of your party there. *Aldaris looks at a piece of paper* I belive her name is Asaki. That's her on the monitor over there."

Aldaris points back to the monitor that shows the landing zone. The girl on it is now sitting by a wall. There is a marine in full armour beside her.

"As soon as the Comander gets here, you'll be going down to the surface. We've arranged for a Thunderhawk gunship to come pick you up."

Soul Reaver follows the others into the control room, where a screen shows Asaki at the landing zone. Soul Reaver gives a nod, then continues on to sit with the others.

He examines the map on screen carefully, his eyes darting rapidly as he absorbs the information presented there.

"This controls downward thrust. You can manuver the legs so they aim from side to side controlling your direction. The red button activates a blower. The blower increases speed allowing you to dodge attacks more easily."

*He points to another device. The device is a Switch board with 5 switches.*

"The first switch activates the left arm. The 2nd primes the hydrolics. The third Arms and charges the sword. The forth will automatically draw the sword. The fifth activates combat status."

*He points to the floor to two pedals.*

"These controll walking. If you know how to walk you can pilot it. When pressed at the same time it activates temporary burn. This will allow you to move much faster while walking... Basically running."

*He points to a red button on the ceiling above his head.*

"This *presses button* is the launch button!"

*The entire Triton begins to shake as it begins to rise from the earth. The chest closes revealing the screens which allow the pilot to see. A large shutter opens in the roof of the barn and the Triton flys out of it. He reaches into his pocket for the rose which Rose had given him. He pins the golden glowing rose to the ceiling right above his eyesight. He looks at the entrigued Ella. He Reaches for a glass box sitting behind her and he opens it. Inside are several capsules each marked with a different number 1-5.*

"Pick one...."

"At ease, men. Aldaris, report to the armory and suit up. Meet me in the hangar."

"Yes, sir!" Aldaris marches quickly from the room.

cLuTcHFieND turns and looks at his friends.

"I have to go over to the Reverant and pick up Thisahon. Kalana will take you guys down to the hangar, where a Thunderhawk gunship is waiting to take you to the surface. I'll meet you at Kelvaris HQ. Then we can go kick some ass. Have a safe journey, and I'll see you guys soon."

cLuTcHFieND turns and walks out of the room.

Quietly, Soul Reaver hisses, "I hate this form of transport... like a steel coffin..."

Nonetheless, he is the first to enter through the ramp at the bottom of the ship, and strap himself into one of the seats within.
