Naraka pulls a chair out for Tamrissa, moving around in back of her once she is seated. He bends down, raven hair shielding his face as he puts his lips next to her ear and speaks in a whisper. When he brings his head up, her gives a wide close-lipped smile. She gives a grin and moves her hand to grasp one of his on the back of the chair.
Now that we are settled
she begins.
A muffled chorus of yells echoes from the hallway and what could be the sound of fireworks goes off. Narakas hands tighten on the back of the chair and on Tams small fingers, making her flinch. She covers it with a laugh and pats his forearm with her other hand, looking up at him.
The citizens celebrate with us this night, Naraka. They do no harm.
She turns her head back to the others, eyes sparkling.
As I was saying, she blinks, the red feathers on her lashes sweeping her cheeks. There is one main reason I have brought you here and it is wonderful news
but I feel I must tell you the bad news that has come along with it.
Her hand slips away from Narakas and she chews at her lower lip, a frown taking the place of her smile.
Fei Serumen is
gone, she begins, her fingers weaving together and her elbows resting on the table in front of her. He succumbed to
the Abyss.
She bows her head over her hands for a moment, then looks back up and around at those she has
seen before.
The amulet some of you saw me carrying was his resting place when he did not have a physical body. He fled into it during our last battle to keep from frenzying, though he still could lend aid with his powers through me, a tear rolls down her cheek and she pauses dramatically. After the battle was over, the amulet fell and was broken by a...freak...accident. I tried to save him, I truly did
but it was a worthless attempt
he was already gone.
Naraka squeezes her shoulder gently and it makes more tears fall down her face.
I went mad with anger and grief. I still believed I could bring him back and I gated here
to the Upper Umbra, she raises her chin and wipes he tears away. I thought I could close myself off from everything and perhaps come up with a spell to drag him from the Abyss. It was a worthless cause and I was wrong in thinking I was alone
and I was lucky that I was not.
Her hand goes back to Narakas.
Naraka and his people had taken refuge in the barren wasteland of the Upper after their world was destroyed. He found me in my weak and maddened state and nurtured me back to health, even tried to help me bring Fei back.
The servants begin to serve food as she speaks, discreetly moving about the tables.
We tried so hard, she breaths in. And we failed.
He was already gone, my sweet, Naraka mumbles to her, his expression pitying, but his eyes still cold, dark and heated.
He was, but he was still present..he was fading but he was still present, she casts a glance sideways as she continues. So, I said my goodbyes to him and set him free.
She smiles a bit.
And I found a new hope in Narakas people
Feis dream was in them. To rebuild the Upper Umbra. I found hope in their leader also, she looks towards Naraka. We have accomplished much together since then and now we have decided to unite our souls and hearts in marriage.
Her eyes go to those at the table.
That is my news and my reason for bringing you here. I wish you all to witness the joining
the marriage ceremony, tomorrow, she tilts her head and smiles sadly. And also to pay respects to Fei one final time
She raises her brows and watches their reactions
~A sweet little woman..with more bite than bark.~
