Asaki looks on as Onekedo and Tamrissa continue to quarrel.
Her eyes dart towards the door. The same way Kari left. She glances at Soul Reaver then turns back towards Onekedo.
*something's not right. this seems like a distraction to me.*The teenager's cat-like ears twitch above her head as she thinks.
She looks once more at Tamrissa and the enemy fighting, then she heads for the door, quickly.
Out in the hallway, she catches up with Kari and stops her.
"I'd like to help."
She pauses for a second. She raises her head slightly and sniffs at the air, picking up Zera's scent.
"Bad news."
She averts her gaze to a small ventilation shaft then raises an eyebrow. As she removes the metal grating, she thinks to herself.
*what am i doing? this is so not thinking safety first.*She laughs nervously to herself as she climbs into the shaft.
"This has gotta be like the first palace with air-conditioning." She looks at Kari and gives a small salute.
"See ya on the other side."
She makes her way through the ventilation system, speeding faster than Zera, completely cutting across the palace.
She sniffs at the air, exits and runs through a hallway. She stops suddenly as she meets face to face with Zera.
The two stand a few feet away from each other.
Asaki's tail flicks as her hands fidget by her side, hoping that Kari shows up to help soon.
Any person can tell that she is becoming fatigued rather quickly.
"I can't let you do this. There's a fork in the road here and you've got a choice. You can turn back now, forget this crazy scheme, go home, and have a drink...or you can continue to live under Naraka's thumb and accept your miserable fate, like he will once Fei and my buddies get through with him. If I were you, I'd go with the first path, what d'ya say?"
(ooc: Quick note: I think I've forgotten to mention that Asaki has a slight case of AD/HD, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She also has a hyperaccelerated metabolism...and she didn't eat dinner
That's why she's getting tired. Continue...)
