Straighting up, he looked back, "You know that you could as easily go over it.... and demon-boy... Don't become too dependable or when we lose you like your father, the damage won't be as devasting...."

Gulver sinks into the ground up to his neck... He can feel his body being constricted. Thisias walks over to the head sticking out of the ground, and plants a boot on Gulver's forehead..... "When you appoligise, I will stop constricting you and allow you to dig yourself out...." Thisias speaks through his tightly clamped teeth as if using them to filter his words. "I am the damned child... The legacy of shame... Yet... I fight... I will continue in my fathers footsteps... whether I am accepted or not..."

The rae slowly subsides in his eyes, and he regains controll. "I am sorry." Thisias releases his hold on Gulver and allows him to move freely and get himself out of the dirt.... Posts: 1675 Aug 2 02 3:52 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	(ooc: Tam, you'll have to catch up. Sorry) Soon, the sound of rapidly-approaching hooves can be heard. Soul Reaver appears on the horizon, mounted on one of the strange, six-legged beasts. In his right hand, he carries a mass of long tethers, each of which is tied to the bridle of another horse-like beast. They are all following a short distance behind Soul Reaver, who soon meets up with his companions. "Here... ride these creatures. They are extremely fleet of foot, as I'm sure you have all observed." His eyes fall down to Kawanua, who is coughing and injured. "Kawanua? It seems you are still suffering from a wound from the arena..." Soul Reaver reaches into a saddlebag, pulling out a healing gourd. He tosses it towards Kawanua. "Here, drink this. The taste is foul, but they are effective."

He slowly walks to one of the creatures and staggers on top of it. He sits up holding his ribs. He opens the Gourd and drinks it with out a word of its taste, He tilts letting the liquid trickle down his throat. He throws the bottle away then looks abck at His companions, Looking slightly freaking on the creature and only his glowing red lizard like eyes seen from under the hood. He looks at Soul Reaver curious. " Why are we riding cant we follow his trail from here? "

Posts: 1675 Aug 2 02 5:03 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	(ooc: Asaki, Soul Reaver didn't hear your suggestion to split up, so if you really want to suggest this to him, you'll have to repeat it here.) Soul Reaver shakes his head. "We can follow Stavarus' trail... but he will have had to walk for a long time before he would have left the area of effect of the Vortex Gem and once more been able to open a Warp Gate. The steeds will allow us to cover that distance much more quickly than on foot." Soul Reaver shifts a bit on his saddle as he hands the bridles to his other companions. "Unfortunately their large size makes them somewhat... uncomfortable to ride. However, they are tame and fairly easy to master." Soul Reaver wheels his steed around, then spurs it forward. "Come, we have no time to waste. HYA!" The steed accelerates rapidly, and soon it is galloping across the hilly terrain. A cold, refreshing wind whips through Soul Reaver's hair as he follows the glittering trail over the hills. The landscape passes in a blur as Soul Reaver rides onwards. Stavarus apparently travelled in pretty much a straight line, though he at times he seemed to have hidden himself behind boulders or in high grass - probably to avoid detection from the OGHRUN patrols. However, after some time of travel, the trail abruptly ends. Soul Reaver reins his steed in, causing it to wheel around and slow down. He dismounts quickly, walking to the spot where the trail disappears. His companions soon arrive too. He turns to them. "Stavarus opened a Warp Gate here. Are you all prepared to go?"

His steed sways from side to side but kawanua easily learns how do control it, He follows the foot tracks off Soul's steed. He sees Soul and pulls back on the rein. He hops off with ease his wound healed but his robe drenched in blood. Kawanua walks up to Soul pulling his hood back. Kawanua looks up slightly staring into Souls eyes, His eyes dulling in light returning to normal " Before the others come, Answer me this. Are we still friends? We have known each other for a while now, how long? 5048 years? We have been in battle many times together, always exchanging war stories when we parted in certain times. So Master Reaver tell me, am i still the same kawanua i was when we met. and. Are we still the same friends, cause remember Keseno is the other part of me that has been kept in the deepest part of my soul for all these Millenia. Take every point in both our lifes and answer me that question, and i want the turth. " Kawanua stares at soul unchanged, unmoving waiting for the answer for his question. Quietly, dangerously quiet.

"You have changed, Kawanua. However, if your core beliefs are still as they were, you are still a trusted companion of mine." Although his tone is reassuring, Kawanua notices that Soul Reaver does not mention the word 'friend'. This is perhaps not surprising to those who know him... he almost never uses it at all.

" I no longer have core beliefs, i simply continue in life with out Samantha, carrying the sin on my heart. When i sleep a constant reminder, and then another guilty thought sits on top of that together putting heavy pressure and sorrow. My daughter crying, the last time i ever heard her voice. Her crying stretching out to grab my hand as i left for my mission which would be my last. Even though i still know she is alive, It still makes me think, Would she even remember me. And if she would hate me, after i told her i killed her mother. " Kawanua turns around in grief, His head in his hands. He speaks quite softly and different than before. " You too know how it Feels soul, to lose family, friends before your eyes because of the Gift of immortality. but its different for me, I lost them before i was given that almighty curse. And i still have not had time to even try and find my daughter, not even once. I am not even counted as a father no longer. " Kawanua falls to his knees, talking about this making him feel even worse. " A father no longer. nothing "

He pulls his hood back over, his eyes begining to glow once more. he stands there in silence, not saying anything to soul. Both warriors obviously finished there little conversation. They sat, quietly. Waiting for the others to arrive.

He leaps on tests out the mounts legs. Always carefull not to poke the animal with his spikes, Kith leans forward and holds on tightly to the reigns. "Hya!" The mount takes off at an explosive rate. Kitharsis rides like an expert as he barrells after Soul Reaver and Kawanua. He arrives and woders what a warp gate is. Perhaps that is the device that transported me from my homeworld to this god awful place. If I could only find one leading back... Kitharsis slides off his beast and leans pats the animal on the head. "I suppose I am ready, but I do not know much of these warp gates... It appears that I shall learn right now." A nervous smile crosses his lips as Kith crosses his arms.

Brushing himself off, he began to say something to Thisisa and Kitharsis excatly what he thought of the idiotic concept of honor before he was interrupted by the arrival of Soul Reaver and the steeds. Another time then..... Throughout the entire speech of riding the steeds and what-not, Gulver only had one thought. I don't ride.... I only walk or run....

"Sensei, I seriously think that if we all go after Stavarus at once, it'll be like one giant death-trap. Khora will have us all in one spot...right where he wants us. Maybe some of us should go after him." \|With chaos as my guide, I walk the plains in search of a worthy battle....\|

She thinks for a second on calling upon her own horse, but since their under a time limit and it would probably take too long for it to reach her she doesnt. Instead she approachs the steed and mounts onto it. finding it slightly more difficult to ride than her own. Yue grips the reins and gives the beast a short kick with her heels and rides the steed out. A short while later she meets up with the others. She stops the steed and not too gracefully dismounts. Yue pats the beast on the neck and walks up to the group. We are not living, but merely existing out of the fear of dying.

It is some sort of residual energy from his soul. To me, it appears as a glittering, etherial trail of mist. I can tell Stavarus left here for the Warp because his trail disappears." Soul Reaver then listens to Asaki's suggestion. He thinks for a moment before answering. "Your idea has merit, Asaki. It might be possible to ambush Khora before he has a chance to open the final seal and resurrect the Dark Legion." Peterson arrives on his steed and dismounts as Soul Reaver carefully scans his eyes over his companions. "Asaki has suggested that we split up into two groups - one to continue the search for Stavarus, another to ambush Khora at the Prison of Eternity before he can unleash the Dark Legion. I will continue looking for Stavarus, while I believe Asaki would be prepared to lead the ambush. If there are no objections to this plan, then let us quickly decide who will join which group." Soul Reaver crosses his arms, waiting for the groups to be formed.
