" You are mistaken, He does not want to die, remember keseno was created out of my sorrows and anger for killing samantha he too saw the very same illusions he does not want to die. and because he is a part of my soul when he kills me He will be dragged along even if he seperated. " Otaken:: So you are allies? " Indeed, You have spoken to kanshisha haven't you? " Otaken:: How did you know? " You never tell me about the Forsakens until it is at a certain time, and this time you are early. " Otaken:: I'm sorry milord. " Otaken...You were my first student, you must learn 1 more thing. Posts: 1675 Aug 13 02 4:47 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	Soul Reaver walks briskly down the path, not slowing down or looking at Tamrissa as she talks to him. His face is cold and stern. "Your comments are noted, Tamrissa. But Stavarus knows me... I cannot imagine him attacking us. He was not an evil man, Tamrissa. It is hard to fathom why he would do such a thing. Even so, we have no choice. We must find him, and we must get him to tell us what he knows. Without his information, we are lost." Soul Reaver ends the conversation on that note. He catches up to Kawanua lying at the side of the road. He stops for a moment to help him up. "Kawanua, if you are injured, you should tell us, or we cannot heal you. We still have a fair distance to travel, and I cannot afford to have you collapsing." Soul Reaver then walks onwards once more, completely intent on the glittering trail that he alone can see. ...An hour later, Soul Reaver and his companions come across some brightly-coloured wagons at the side of the road. A handsome black-haired man, wearing a headcloth and with a wide smile beneath his moustache, walks out towards the side of the road, hands in his pockets. His clothes are flamboyant and colourful, and a gold tooth glints in his mouth. Soul Reaver stops to try and speak to the gypsy. The gypsy, grinning, is the first to speak. "Greetings, warriors! Why do you travel these roads so briskly? It is a fine and sunny day! Do you not have time to enjoy this beatiful afternoon?" Soul Reaver raises his right hand to stop the gypsy. "Please, we are in a hurry. I would like to ask if you know anything about the surrounding area." The gypsy nods, still grinning. "Of course. We travel far and wide! What would you care to know?" Soul Reaver points down the road. "We would like to know if you have seen a tall, middle-aged man with light-brown hair and grey eyes travelling towards the village further down this road." The gypsy scraches his moustache. "I am sorry, my good sir, but we have only camped here recently. I have not seen the man of which you speak." Soul Reaver nods. "I see. Can you tell me anything about the village? I am especially interested in knowing about a man named 'Grafford the Seer'." The gypsy man smiles broadly again. "Of course! I live to serve! The village is called Ternmill - small farming community. Grafford the Seer is a well-known eccentric around these parts. He has some magic talent, though I think he knows only a few cantrips... certainly nothing to compare to one of those Mages from the big cities. He also collects all manner of strange and possibly mystic items. He collected them from all over the world. In fact, I sold him quite a lot of those myself! Grafford basically just helps the townsfolk by giving them advice and lending a sympathetic ear. A kindly old man, really." Soul Reaver bows slightly at the gypsy. "Thank you for you help." The gypsy's grin widens. "I'm glad to be of service! Speaking of which..." He claps his hands twice. A buxom woman in her twenties steps out from one of the wagons. She winks at Soul Reaver and the other men in the party, blowing a kiss with big, pouting lips. The gypsy man leans close to Soul Reaver's ear, and speaks to him in a penetrating whisper that is quite audible to everyone nearby. "Serenda here is certainly quite capable of... 'serving' warriors who are wary of the road, if you catch my meaning." He walks over to Tamrissa, his smile never leaving his face. "And I could even make personal arrangements to suit your lady friend. One so beautiful should not have to be alone..." Soul Reaver is unimpressed. "No. I appreciate your help, but we have no time to waste. Let us go." Soul Reaver turns away, and continues to walk swiftly down the road. The gypsy shrugs, but smiles on cheefully nonetheless, letting the strange warrior go his own way.

However, the magical bonds of the Mindstealer trap are now beginning to dissolve. Though Senshi may recover soon, Peterson's Red Thirst is driving him to the verge of madness, and the Mindstealer's hold is much stronger on him... (ooc: Remember, you still have to stop Khora! Try to recover from the Mindstealer sometime soon, if possible, or this segment might drag on too long... Also, I'm not sure I fully understood... did Zera teleport into a suit of armour to escape Peterson? Or did she just make herself look like a suit of armour?)

Posts: 132 Aug 13 02 9:45 AM Alter-Ego Character More My Recent Posts	Peterson growls as Zera foils his attack. He then sees Kasei attacking Senshi. "Now her own weapon is betraying her!" Peterson looks back at Zera, hate in his eyes. "This is your doing. the others betrayed us because of YOU!" Peterson draws a dagger, but this time, something is different. The dagger glows a fierce green. Without warning, Peterson disappears. A second later, Zera feels something pierce her back, a few inches from her spine. Peterson twists the dagger before leaving it stuck in Zera and jumping backwards. "Eat that, you diseased wench!" Peterson then bounds away, with the intentions of attacking Kasei, when he suddenly feels the mindstealer and the red thirst break as one, and rational thought returns. He stops short, realizing what he had just done. As the thirst fades, he returns to his normal size. ((OOC: Which is still 7 feet tall, 285 pounds, thank you. )) I cursed her. I can't even remember how I did it, but I cursed her. What will happen to her? Dammit! What the hell was I thinking? Peterson then realizes the urgency of the current situation. Khora! We have to stop Khora! Peterson quickly runs over to Senshi and grabs her, using every ounce of strength he possess to try and hold her back. Drawing on the link between their Chaos magic, he contacts her mentally. "Asaki! Snap out of it! They're our allies! They didn't betray us! Snap out of it!!!!!" ((OOC: Zera has been infected by a Chaos Plague attack. Basically, if she doesn't receive treatment, her body will slowly rot away from the inside. The curse is fatal, but it can be treated by any normal heal spell. Thisias even has something that can treat it, but I won't say what it is. That would make it too easy. Oh, and don't bother asking Peterson. He doesn't even know how he executed the attack in the first place. This curse usually takes a few hours before symptoms become apparent, so she won't notice it right away. She'll just think Peterson stabbed her.))

She blinks a few times before looking around, breathing heavily. "What...did I just do? Where are we?" She looks over each individual warrior before finally remembering the darkness where they reside at the moment. "...Khora." The teenager's face becomes stern as she places a hand on her knee and rises. "We still have to find the menace. We have no time to lose! Let's move!" Senshi grabs hold of Kasei and uses her incredible speed to race down the corridor towards the final seal... (ooc: you ruined our fun. j/k.) \|With chaos as my guide, I walk the plains in search of a worthy battle....\|

His scythe is clutched in his hands with the blade pointed downward, ready to carve into Khora if he sees him, but he also is keeping a sharp eye out for any other strange runes or other traps. I will not attack my allies again. Even if they are untrustworthy wenches like that damm Zera, what I did back there was wrong. It can't happen again.

I'll go with it this time, but I'd prefer to have a fair chance or someone asking me first next time. I'm not that hard to get along with and I usually will go along with things like this. Just ask please. Thanks.)) Zera cries out as the dagger is jammed into her back and twisted cruelly. Reaching around with a pained growl, she rips the small blade out and tosses it to the ground. She is wounded after strictly holding herself back from hurting Peterson. Silently wishing she had went full force on the bastard, she turns and jogs after him. Even deeper in her mind, she chalks up another incident for why the marine needs to die. ((And, oh yes, this marine is going to die in real life when I see him online next. big grin )) She looks up as a crack wrinkles its way along the wall to her left and up to the ceiling where is causes a few chunks of stone to fall. Her duster flares around her as she takes off even faster to reach the rest of her group in time...

She narrowly watches every dark corner for Khora, then her eyes dart down to the ground where she first set foot on the runic traps. She backs up a bit, flaps her wings and hovers in the air. The room looks hazy with dust as she glances back and forth, eyeing the suits of armor between the columns. "Spread out. Zera....and you," she points towards Kitharsis. "Stay near the gate. Khora will not get by you alive." With that, Senshi begins to hover towards the end of the corridor. She holds up Kasei in defense as she slowly aproaches the final seal, searching for Khora. \|With chaos as my guide, I walk the plains in search of a worthy battle....\|

Things change and so do people. Meanwhile, she touches Feis presence in her mind faintly to make sure he is still with her, a feeling of being whole again rising before she pulls her own presence away once more. Despite the feelings of doubt and unwillingness to comply, she notices that she feels almost relieved and joyful that he has not left her. It scares her all the more. Her feet keep their steady strides behind Soul through the long hour of walking. When they come upon the gypsies, she is no more impressed than her companions. She merely raises her eyes to the gypsy and then brushes past him. No. Following Soul is again her purpose once they pass the gypsy camp

Standing still, he allowed he to inch closer before snarling and slightly lunging foward, making both the gyspy and hooker flich in terror. Chuckling to himself, he cotinued walking on, following behind Tam. That make me feel better.... Nothing like fear to validate your own existence....

I have my own problems to deal with and on another note it seems we have no time to sleep nor eat. I am almost out of energy, my maximum energy level may be rising but at the moment its falling. Posts: 1675 Aug 14 02 3:44 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	Soul Reaver answers Kawanua quickly. He has not yet realised that Kawanua is being controlled by Keseno. "Were you not listening? The village is called Ternmill. We should keep moving." Soul Reaver continues walking, leaving the gypsy wagons behind. Finally, he arrives at the top of a hill overlooking Ternmill. He stops to examine the village from afar. "Strange... the town is very quiet. Nobody seems to be around." Soul Reaver checks to make sure the others are following, and then moves on. It is only a few more minutes later that the companions arrive at the outskirts of the village. A wooden sign is posted somewhat crookedly on the side of the road, engraved with the name 'Ternmill'. However, the sight before them is not what the companions expected. The village seems to be thick with mud and slush, the stone walls of the cottages coated with a greenish mould, and the thach roofs blackening and sagging. Bundles of rags and filth litter the streets, and the sickly smell of death is in the air. Soul Reaver draws Blooddrinker, and speaks to his companions. "Stay on your guard... something is very wrong here..." Soul Reaver takes his first cautious steps into the village of Ternmill, the others following behind...
