(ooc: Caution: This post contains scenes of explicit eating frenzy and berry mutilation...)
Asaki nods at Soul Reaver as he warns her not to wander too far.
She stretches and places her hands behind her head.
"Whoo, man am I starved! There'd better be something in this stinkin' forest to eat."
She continues to wander deeper into the forest, searching the trees and the bushes. She looks back and smiles at Kasei as he glows dimly to light their way. "Maybe we'll run into a big deer. That would give us plenty to eat!"
Kasei: Or maybe we'll run into a really scary flesh eating zombie. That would give it plenty to eat!
The teenager frowns.
"Jerk."
She turns towards a deep grove of trees. Then back towards the others and the soft buttery glow of the fire.
"Eh. That's the only place left to look."
Kasei: Your sensei told you not to wander too far.
Asaki presses her index finger tips together and looks down, humbly. "Yeah, I know."
Kasei: Yeah....
The teenager crosses her arms.
"Yeah! But you also know how I got a hyperactive metabolism and how if I don't eat soon, they'll be lip imprints on the ground an' I'll be sucking sod!"
Kasei: ....Yeaaaah. Alright. But don't get lost!
"Huh? Hey, what'd'ya mean? You're not coming with me?!"
Kasei: Heh, are you kinding? No way! There's vampires in there.
Asaki narrows her eyes at the fire rod then points at the camp site. "There's a vampire over there."
Kasei: Well....yeah....but...err...there's--ghosts! And and...bats, not to mention--
"Alright! Alright! I'll go alone! I'd rather get eaten alive then listen to much more of this."
Kasei: Well if you insist on going alone, I'll just hover here until you get back. Just look for the light.
Asaki hunches, then glares at him.
"Baka."
She turns on her heels and heads into the grove.

(15 minutes later)
"Man, I've been trekking all this way and I haven't found so much as a stinkin' mushroom! Not even a poisonous one for cryin' out loud!"
She sighs and kicks the dirt.
"Guess I better head back. Empty hands.....empty stomach. Aw, man! I gotta have somethin' to eat!"
She takes her hands out of her pockets and looks around.
"Ehh...where am I?" She scratches her head and continues to walk. "Of course, it's this way," she gets cut off by an intertwinement of gnarled trees. "Eh, I meant that way."
She continues to walk, falling deeper into the forest. She violently rubs her hands back and forth through her hair. "Aw, man, this is drivin' me nuts!!" She slumps foward and drags her feet through twigs and leaves. When suddenly, her foot catches on a vine and she falls foward. She cries out before landing hard onto the ground. She rolls over and cries out in pain, clutching her nose. "Ne, what'd I ever do to deserve this," she whines then something catches her attention. "Berries!" She rises to her knees and crawls over to the bushes. Carefully, she raises a plump berry to her lips. "Please, don't be poisonous." The teenager shuts her eyes then pops the fruit into her mouth and begins to chew. She swallows hard, opens her eyes and attacks the bush. She gets in with hands, arms, and fingers, clawing her way through the thick twigs. They scratch at her arms, but she contines to tear through the leaves, getting to the sweet treasure within. She lunges at the ripened fruit, stuffing mouthful after mouthful of the berries. Many of them become crushed within her grip before even making it into her mouth. For a few minutes, the teenager even forgets to breathe. She continues to devour the fruit, juices, running down her chin and arms. After a few minutes, she begins to breathe again and settles in the grass against a tree. "Ah, now that was good. I could die verry happy right now."
She comes back to the bush and begins to pick more berries, carefully tying them within her sash.
"And these, are for the rest of the guys...that is...if I can ever find my way out again." She ties the corners of the sash around a long branch and slings it over her right shoulder. She glances up at the silver moon surrounded by the glittering stars before she begins to make her way through the trees once more.
