Tamrissa smirks faintly, the light from her fingers playing across her face.

"If I had wanted you dead, I could have had it done in the beginning you know," she stares down at him. "Perhaps it is time you learned that not every being unlike you must be an enemy or simple canon fodder.”

She whispers a few arcane words and the ground rolls beneath Gulver.

“Someone wise once told me that ‘seemingly cruel intentions often are merely pushes in a better direction’,” she glances up, remembering. “But I suppose it is up to you to decide whether my cruel intention was to make you a slave or give you a life of your own. Until you do, rest easy. I will not harm you without good cause…and my protection is yours, however much that is worth.”

The earth swallows him suddenly. For a moment he is beneath the ground, the roots of the trees brushing against his clothing rapidly, passing him along to each other like a toy passed round a circle. After what seems like ages, the ground parts and he is lifted to the surface again. Dirt slides off of him like water and the ground closes beneath him. He is now closer to the campsite, though still within the secluded shadows of three closely situated trees.

Giving yet another quiet sigh, she stands solemnly and wanders off to search for a stream to wash the grime from her…
