Soul Reaver growls as an arrow comes hurtling from the Dark Legionnaire's ranks. Blooddrinker flashes through the air, knocking the arrow aside with the flat of the blade.

Tamrissa's energy bursts throw the front Legionnaires to the ground, but they climb back on their feet quickly and continue to advance rapidly.

At this point, thunderous noise can be heard as Kanshisha invokes his powers. Etherial warriors materialise before the companions and charge at the Dark Legionnaires.

The initial charge cuts down the first line of Legionnaires, who are overwhelmed by the sheer force of the charge. However, the other Legionnaires quickly adjust their tactics to make use of their superior numbers. The warriors' weapons seem to have less effect on the Legionnaires than they should - since the weapons are magical manifestations, the Legionnaires are even more resistant to their blows than to ordinary weapons. Meanwhile, the Legionnaires fall back, allowing the warriors to fight their way into their midst, but closing their ranks behind them.

The new front rank continues to advance while the mass of Dark Legionnaires presses in on the warriors from all sides. Though extremely skilled fighters, the warrior's skills are matched by the precise and unnatural abilities of the Legionnaires. Weapons flash and clang, as shouts and eventually screams can be heard emerging from the midst of the silent Dark Legion. The warriors begin to evaporate back into immaterial clouds of energy as the Legion cut them down one by one.

Stavarus, trying to push his way forward to the front ranks, looks on with disapproval on his face.

"What are you all doing?! Attack them!"

Soul Reaver pauses from hurling Darkbolts at the Legionnaires for a moment to give Stavarus an angry look.

"We are trying to protect your ungrateful hide, Stavarus!"

Stavarus shouts over the din as Soul Reaver turns back to the advancing tide of undead.

"With all your vaunted powers, you cannot even destroy these... creatures?! I'll take care of them myself..."

Stavarus pushes past one of the Senshi warriors, and tries to dash past Soul Reaver. The warrior grabs him forcibly by the front of his jacket.

"Don't be a fool! You have no idea of what you are up against here! Stay back, and shut your mouth!"

Soul Reaver hurls him backwards, causing Stavarus to fall over in the midst of the Senshi warriors.

The Dark Legion fan out in front of the warriors, then as one, charge forwards. Like grey-cloaked Daemons, they hurl themselves at the companions.

Soul Reaver gasps with effort as a scythe slams into Blooddrinker with enough force to almost jar the weapon from his hands. Soul Reaver responds with a nasty kick at the Legionnaire's knee, which makes a crunching sound, but does little else.

Soul Reaver begins to parry rapidly as another Legionnaire appears beside the first, attacking in tandem. As Blooddrinker cuts the creature diagonally through the creature's ribcage, another Legionnaire simply throws it's companions limp body aside and takes its place.

All around Soul Reaver, the Legionnaires are pressing the companions, battering against them endlessly, wearing them out, exhausting them...
