Posts: 1675 Oct 7 02 3:17 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	(ooc: Sorry if this seems mean to Tukedo, but these are real powers these things have... : /) Soul Reaver coughs and gulps in air as Asaki pulls him to the surface. He can barely get enough breath to gasp a faint "Thank you..." before two more glistening black tentacles whip out at him. This time, he stands prepared. Blooddrinker easily slices the two tentacles apart, causing them to splash into the water, where they begin to sizzle and dissolve. Thick, dark red blood begins to spurt from the wounds on the tentacles. However, to Soul Reaver's horror, he sees how the bleeding quickly slows, and new flesh begins to grow at an alarming rate to replace the lost tentacles. A thick black tendril wraps itself around Soul Reaver in a crushing embrace and lifts him high into the air. He gasps as it pulls him upwards, and almost loses Blooddrinker in the flash of pain. another tentacle wraps around Asaki, around her already injured chest... Meanwhile, one of the Behemoths almost leaps completely out of the water to launch itself at Shenba. Its shape is massive, at least twice that of even the huge dragon. The creature slams into Shenba with amazing force, toppling Kanshisha into the shallow water beside her and wrapping a mass of tentacles around her. Razor-like bony protrustions at the tips of the tentacles scrape across her scales as the creature begins to drag her off her feet and deeper into the water. At that same time, Tukedo's power overload begins. Soul Reaver frantically tries to free himself from the rather conductive tentacle of the Behemoth, but to no avail. Not that it matters. The Shadow Behemoths, extremely sensitive to changes of electrical current in the water, quickly react to the threat. The abomination nearest to Tukedo whips it's 'head' around to face face him. Just above the water, in the midst of the mass of tentacles, a huge mouth pulls itself open. It is filled with several rows of razor sharp teeth, with thick strands of saliva hanging from them. It gives off the same foul, decaying, diseased smell the creatures themselves do, but to an even greater degree. The Behemoth proves to be much smarter than might be expected. From its open mouth, the behemoth shoots a jet of light brown, oily mucus. The sludge splashes over Tukedo, easily penetrating the water around him too, almost completely wrapping him up in a slimy coccoon that hardens in seconds. A tentacle wraps around him and lifts his form high into the air. Surrounded by the insulating layer of mucus and no longer submerged in the water, the effects of his overcharging may well be reduced drastically. Another Behemoth rumbles towards the prone Yue. On the way, three huge tentacles whip out towards Clutchfiend, who is hiding in the foliage. The bony hooks that tip the tentacles rip the plant asunder, and strike towards Clutchfiend with amazing speed...

Posts: 1328 Oct 7 02 4:24 AM Major More My Recent Posts	Shenba jerks her head back as the Behemoth lunges on top of her. She shrieks with rage, her red firey eyes narrowing. Shenba takes in a breathe of air, she exhales engulfing the behemoth in flame. Fire rolls past the behemoth like a massive tongue. Trees shrubs and bushes burnt to ash, all that now stands from that attack. Is the Behemoth, Slightly injuried and dry. Shenba roars again. digging her Claws into the soft ground trying to regain her footing. Shenba lifts one of her claws and slams it into the Behemoth hoping to knock it off balance.. the Behemoth leans backwards for just a few moments then jerks back forward continuing its attack. Shenba snaps her head around and snaps at the behemoths tentacles. She rips out the slimy tentacle only to watch another tentacle instantly grow from the same place. In the Struggle Shenba forgets totally about Kawanua and kanshisha. She looks around in the free seconds she has but with no success. Kawanua is gone and Kanshisha, slowly sinking in the swampy water. I have to get to land. I'll have a better position there. Shenba slashes again at the behemoth while it is momentarily off gaurd. She looks around and spots land closest to her, but still a fair distance away. She roars again as her rage and anger builds up. Shenba begins to try and plan hiow to break free. I can't roll over then my under belly is open. No solid ground to buckle and shake it off. Not a lot of time to shape shift and break free either. Shenba deflects a tentacle that tries to grasp around her neck. cutting it off watching it ooze in the water.. Hmm..

Posts: 513 Oct 7 02 10:32 AM Recruit More My Recent Posts	Asaki has no time to cry out in pain as she is lifted out of the murky water and crushed by the massive tentacle. Her body goes slightly limp as she coughs up blood. She desperately tries to breathe, but it comes in strangled. She clenches her teeth and her tail flicks back and forth wildly. "...Not...like this...I won't go...NOT LIKE THIS!!" The teenager's body glows brightly as she transforms into Senshi once more. She stretches out her arms and breaks free from the tentacle. She flaps her wings and flies over to Soul Reaver. Taking the offending tendril with both hands, she tears it apart, dropping Soul Reaver into the water. The tentacles quickly regrow and begin to go after them once more. Senshi quickly hovers over the water in front of Soul Reaver, holds out her arms to the sides and creates a large shield. The tentacles hit it hard and destroy it. "Kuso!!" The warrior balls up her fists in front of her and curls up into a ball. Then quickly stretches out, giving off intense flashes of blinding, pulsing light from her body that light up the entire swamp. The behemoths give off a deafening, high pitched screech in pain. One of the tentacles whips violently towards the warrior but goes through air as she crosses her arms in front of her and teleports beside it, meters in the air. The warrior uncrosses her arms and begins to fire spheres of chaos fire at the behemoths. Her aim is wild and nearly hits a few of the other warriors. A tentacle whips out at her, but she raises her right arm to block it. The tentacle hits a small shield on her arm and is deflected backwards. Senshi lowers her arm and fires another sphere at the behemoth with her other hand. She raises both hands to begin a fierce attack but something else catches her attention. Her right arm begins to glow as the flesh rises and falls in deformity. The warrior places her other hand over the affected area as it pushes and pulsates. "What the hell!" Her attention averts from her arm to another large tentacle heading her way. Her expression goes to surprise as she attempts to block but has no real time to react and is struck. The warrior is flung through the air and hits, back first against a massive tree. Her wings droop as she slides down the trunk into a slumped/seated position in the swamp water. She slowly lifts her head, looking straight ahead, anger flickering in her eyes. "Itai..." She flinches in pain and raises her right arm out of the swamp water....nothing. The flesh is completely normal. She rises slowly from the sludge, using the tree's trunk as support. "groan Bastard." \|With chaos as my guide, I walk the plains in search of a worthy battle....\|

Posts: 2848 Oct 7 02 12:53 PM Prince of Nooses Colonel More My Recent Posts	Scratching his head, Fei leaps gracefully into the air off his toes as a tentacle reaches for him. Vanishing just as he ascends 4 feet, he finds himself drawing his sword. As he's drawing his sword a tentacle wraps around his waist. As it makes contact, Fei slides through to the ground, rolling around and chopping the tentacle free in a clean sweep of the sword, a trail of shadows following. "Well, to stop a creature from regrowing limbs, you burn them." Speaking, a ball of green fire burns around Fei's fist. Letting a tentacle grab him, he rams his sword into his own chest, coating it in a caustic, maroon colored blood. As he's dragged underwater, he brins his hand across the blade igniting the Yugitti. Upon contact with the green fire, the water begins to boil around Fei who spins the sword up and brings the imensly hot, green blade down on one of the tentacles holding him very slowly, cutting slowly into the muscle, smoke rolling from the wound in billows of black ash as it's carcerated. "Don't have much time... I don't know how long the others can hold their breath if they get dragged under here." Being whipped around, Fei continues to do his underwater dirty work, concentrating as his body tightens with the grip of the tentacles forcing him to smirk with the pain as his fortitude begins to resist. It as a small distance away and he starts to make his way to it. He is almost there when he notices Asaki splashing around in the water. The lens is dangerously close to being stomped by her feet. Then much to his dismay Asaki stomps on the lens, pushing it down in the mud farther. Still swimming towards the lens and Asaki, he notices that she is getting closer to him faster than she should be. She bumps into him and promptly greets him with a fist to the face. Kith grimaces with pain and shock, but then realizes that it was by folly when Asaki touches his face and pushes off of him. That was quite interesting and confusing... While Kitharsis thinks to himself a tentacle finds his leg and wraps around it. Knowing that more would come after it, Kith kicks at it and tries to get away from it. At first it is a success and he starts to feel for the lens in the mud, but his search is stopped by a tentacle wrapping around his waist and violently lurching him towards the things body. It lifts him out of the water, only to drop him and assault Tukedo with the goop and to throw him in the air. Kith doesnt' see if he lands because he is back in the wate by that point. "The monsters are getting on my last nerve," Kith shouts out in the water. I'll have to chance it... Their lives are more important than mine... Kith starts the process of transforming in the water. His hands lengthen and turn hard. They are now one huge claw about 2 feet long. He grows three large spikes on either side of his back. One pair curves above his head, one pair sticks straight up, and the other pair curves around and under his waist. His grows a tail which ends in a point and his feet become even bigger flippers which end in small one inch spikes. Two horns jut out of his forehead also. That went well... I hope nothing happens this time... Kith darts like a fish around the water, dodging tentacles and slicing at them all the while. He searches for the main body of one of the beasts. He finds it, only to meet eye to eye with it and to be instantly wrapped up in its tentacles. The spikes on his back pierce into them and it loosens its hold on him. He finishes the job with the claws on his arms. He swims forward and quickly stabs one of its eyes, only to be grabbed and thrown through the water into the trunk of a sunken tree. His spikes plunge into the bark and pin him on the tree. "This is not good... The lens is lost, my companions don't seem to be fairing too well from what I saw from the glance I had in the air... And now I'm trapped on this stupid tree!"

Posts: 545 Oct 7 02 5:09 PM Recruit More My Recent Posts	Yue splashes around in the water, trying hard to keep herself afloat. She glances around the swamp, searching for the creatures. Damn Im like a sitting duck out here I need to get back on land! Yue gasps as she sinks below the water again, getting tired of trying to stay afloat. The Behemoth swiftly swims over to the Yue, whos completely unaware. It grabs her leg in its huge mouth and proceeds to drag her through the murky waters. She lets out a short scream, which ends up being muffled in the water. She attempts several times to free her leg from the creatures grasp, but has no such luck. The creature continues dragging her effortlessly through the water. Yue flinchs and kicks at the creature with her free foot, trying hard to escape. I need air... help.... A large stick protrudes from the soft mud at the bottom of the swamp. As the creature swims by, Yue quickly reaches her hand out and grabs hold of it. Without wasting time, she quickly holds the stick like a spear and jams it as hard as she can into the creatures mouth. The Behemoth screechs in pain and finally releases Yue's leg. Feeling light-headed, Yue moves as quickly as she can towards the surface. Her sight begins to get blurred and she lets out another small gasp before lossing consciousness and slowly sinking back down... We are not living, but merely existing out of the fear of dying.

ZAP Electricity shoots through the water feeling like bee stings all over the bodies of everyone in the water.... Within the steaming water Tukedo emmerges covered in a black substance which appears to be moving all across him. "You die beast...." Tukedo's head aims towards the beast in a fluent, yet robotic motion. He aims carefully at the larger section of one of the tenticled beasts and fires a lazer out of each eye making two 1" holes cleanly through the beast. "I am the damned child... The legacy of shame... Yet... I fight... I will continue in my fathers footsteps... whether I am accepted or not..."

Jharm then uses his supernatural strength to begin to squeeze out of the behemoths grasp. As he wiggles free, he quickly summons his sword, and brings it down on the tentacle, slashing right through it. He then sees Yue getting pulled under. The angel, not even thinking of his own safety, dives under the water and swims towards Yue. He quickly grabs her unconscious form. He then carries her to the surface, exploding out of the water. Come on, breathe. This is not a time to lose someone. Jharm then places Yues body on a nearby patch of land and returns to the fight. No, not quite... Draining the energy would be a bad idea.... Look like Purge mode is out.... Ah shit, incoming! Gulver leapt off his perch in the tree branches as several tentacles lashed out into his direction, shattering the branch he was situated on only seconds before. Backflipping on several branches, the grey-haired warrior avoided several lighting quick attack from the shadow behemoth with a unnatural speed and inhuman grace. Heh, too easy to read their movements.... They're just following their instincts, not reallly focusing their brainpower into their attacks, but that won't last long.... Better end this quickly before they decide to make me really work for it.... In midair, after dodging another tentacle which came too close for comfort, Gulver began to trace a line in the air, forming the shape of one of his energy attack. Grabbing a hold of his newly made weapon, he hefted it and sent it hurtling toward the central mass where the tentacles that was attacking him were coming from. "You might want to steer clear of that one for a second until that go off...." Gulver muttered unhelpfully, not really caring if the explosion from the overloading weapon would produce when it hit its target, would injure any of his allies.

The rune and Cameron's aura both turn light blue as he invokes an element switch. The tentacle then plunges through his midsection, but as it does, Cameron's body turns to liquid and rains down to the ground, where it is quickly absorbed into the dirt. The rune flashes once and dissapears. Suddenly, the water of the swamp begins to churn. Any of Cameron's allies who are still in the water are swiftly deposited on the shore. The water then explodes upwards, forming a large funnel that spins and churns, sucking up anything that is still in the swamp. The entire contents of the swamp are sucked into the funnel, and sticks and twigs begin to fly out of it. Cameron re-appears off to one side, concentrating on his spell. "Come on, guys.....This spell won't do much to them....hit them now, while they're distracted!"

The mysterious voice calls to Kanshisha once more. " Why do you not defend? . the voice asks. " I have no answer.....", kanshisha replies as the tall tendrill holds him high " Is this what your father would have wanted? For you to just let yourself die?", the voice asked him, a bit infuriated. A small pulse of strength came from Kanshisha, but his body, still so physically battered and drained, he could do very little. " Tch.. Dear boy.... you have much to learn about indurance...", the voice said as a small roaor of thunder could be heard from far away. A spark of white and silver light shown from the distance and within seconds, a falcon, enveloped in psychic flame dahsed it's way across the sky and sliced the tendrill, resul;ting in Kanshisha plumetting down, landing back onto Shenba's spine. It was evident enough that the small attack thatshot through the sky was not Kanshisha's doing. Duriel...just leave me be for now...., Kanshisha's weak mental voice begged. Wasn't me, Young Master. if it was me, this beast would be obliterated within moments...Then again so would the rest of this realm... but now. That attack was not from me., Duriel's voice replied. A bit of annoyance surprise in his tone. Oh....ok...., Kanshisha replies ((There Sho. I did it. But I don't want to get you into any trouble, so you're going to have to ask Soul Reaver next time ok? ))

She bears her fangs and hisses, raising her arms and firing in the creature's mouth, causing it to release her. She turns and glares at the other warriors. "What are you waiting for! Posts: 1328 Oct 8 02 2:40 AM Major More My Recent Posts	Shenba glares at the Behemoth. Her eyes brighten with every deflection of the behemoths attacks. Suddenly her eyes flash a bright red light. Shenba roars again diggin her claw into the behemoths head. Shenba opens her mouth as wide as she can. As Cameron's spell suddenly distracts them. shenba unleashes her dragon breath once again as full strength. A pillar of Fire hurtles out of Shenba's mouth hissing as it slices through the air. The behemoth is once again engulfed in Flame. The land and trees Charred and smouldering Behind it several metres behind the Behemoth. Shenba pulls her long powerful claws out of the behemoth. letting it roll back into the boiling water as a lump of goo. Shenba feels something hit her back as she begins to open her leathery wings. She looks behind her noticing Kanshisha lying on the back of her. She flicks her tail on the water, breathing in shallow gasps of air quietly, smoke coming out of her nostrils and mouth as she exhales. She flaps her powerful wings, hovering just below the tree tops. She flaps them again pushing herself forward quickly. Landing on the land she slowly lands her claws cracking the strangely dry ground. Shenba Looks around at the swamp in search of Kawanua, she looks to her left on the msall island to Find Kawanua on his back covered from head to toe in mud and soaked. His Wings tattered and filled with mud. His hair all over the place with twigs and other various stuff that is found in the filthy water. Shenba sighs in relief lowering her head slightly, She waits patiently getting another round of Dragon fire if needed. She shuffles herself nudging Kanshisha with her wing. " Kanshisha.. Are you ok? " She speaks in a deep rumbled tone as she licks her nose.

Posts: 1675 Oct 8 02 6:26 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	(ooc: Some notes here... firstly, fire doesn't stop regeneration, though it does slow it. Sorry, but this isn't Warhammer. Secondly, I'm assuming the remaining three Behemoths got sucked into the funnel as well.) The Behemoth roars in pain as Tukedo's twin laser beams burn into its flesh, but in response, he is smashed solidly into his midriff by a whipping tentacle. Shenba disposes of one Behemoth just as Clutchfiend's spell takes effect. The three Behemoths, despite their huge mass, are lazily pulled from the mud and into the air, whirling around the funnel of power. Unfortunately, this ruins Gulver's attempted energy-attack, as it detonates without harming the companions' foes. Unfortunately, Stavarus still had a tentacle firmly wrapped around his ankle when this happened. With a yelp, he is dragged upwards as well. Twigs, stones, and an endless mass of water wash over him, threatening to drown him. In desperation, he begins to trace a rune into the air with his finger... Soul Reaver sees his chance to strike down the Behemoths. He sheathes Blooddrinker and starts to chant loudly. A crackling black aura begins to surround both his hands as he speaks, and the sound of the focused magical energy gathering at his fingertips becomes an audible roar that grows ever higher-pitched as the spell nears completion. Soul Reaver intones the last syllable, stretching both hands forward... Miraculously, amidst the violent movements of the swirling funnel and the attempted decapitations from the Behemoth, Stavarus manages to complete his rune. The Dispel Rune flares a bright sapphire colour and sends ribbons of anti-magic spiraling up the funnel. In an instant, the funnel ceases to hold up the swamp-matter. A jagged beam of black energy rips from Soul Reaver's hands just as the Behemoths begin to fall. Due to the sudden change in its movement, the spell flies just above the intended target. Soul Reaver only has time for one short curse at his failed attempts before the sudden tidal-wave hits him. Having almost all the swamp-material fall onto one place has devastating consequences. A huge wall of rocks and muddy water roars out in all directions, the Behemoths riding just behind the wave. Stavarus falls into the water behind them, having taken advantage of the Behemoths' momentary confusion to cut himself free with his daggers. He is dragged along with the current as the wave washes over the companions...

With a quick slice, the Limb comes Free from Fei who dodges several more tentacles that come curling at him. Rolling around them under water, He flips his wrist back and charges the base of the behemoth directly infront of him, dashing through the water faster then the eye can see, slicling cleanly through any tentacles that attempt to hinder him. With a grin of satisfaction, leaving a bloody trail of water behind him, Fei brings his sword around again. With a flick of his wrist, the sword is sent spinning like a disk into his target, ripping a ten foot whole vertically, sinking half way in to the creature's base. Following through, Fei dashes forward his talons bared as he rips through the creature's base like a meat grinder, throwing back large chunks of blood and flesh. As he presses himself inside the creature, it regenerates over him obviously, trapping him inside. "Good... this is just where I wanted to be" Fei grins as the muscles of the creature attempt to constrict him. Suddenly, Fei's body seems to give way as he merges with any darkness inside the creature, the sword ripping from the creature's body, flinging into the air and landing blade first in the ground, sinking halfway, the black obsideon like gem on the hilt shifting inside, radiating as it sucks in any light around around it. Without warning one of the behemoths sprout large spikes of glossy, semitransparent blackness, ripping through the skin, stretching holes that can't close due to the spikes that are in the way. With a sudden Roar that emerges from within the depths of the behemoth, the spikes shift and change into large blades attached to slender tentacles that suddenly begin to lash out at the creature from all directions, ripping clean cuts into the black skin giving it the appearance that the creature is attacking itself. Still floating in midair, he watches the tidal wave getting ready to land on everyone still on the ground. Looking around quickly, he spots the person closest to him and dives downward. ((OOC: Okay, I know this can be considered as a god mod, but look at it this way. Either the person I decide to grab goes along with this and is saved from being pounded by the huge wave, or they can say no, I'll edit my post, and they can stay on the ground and get pounded by the huge wave. Now, who will it be? hmmmmm..... Well, Yue was about to drown in her last post, so she's probably still unconsious. So she wins )) Yue is suddenly plucked from the ground as Cameron dives in just ahead of the tidal wave. Cameron gains altitude and sets Yue down in a nearby tree. He then lands in the same tree and waits for the wave to pass so he can see the enemy again. He is completely out of breath. My energy levels are low. Too many battles and not enough time to rest inbetween them. If this keeps up, I'll have to start overcharging myself. And that could prove fatal. Cameron continues to look downward, breathing heavilly.
