If only you could understand Soul.

Shenba voice is quiet calm and relaxed, her voice enters Soul Reavers mind as she begins to explain..

You have the same problem, or you will soon. You carry the most powerful Daemon lord with you. Eventually he will be out of control. Like Keseno, Asaki and Kanshisha has. It is extremely hard to control them. seeming they have a mind of their own. The " darker selves " you called them, have their free will. For Asaki and kanshisha they battle inside themselfs for domination. For Kawanua, The battle is real. and his dark self has the upper hand if you take your mind back to when we were in the umbra, Keseno gets hurt. Kawanua feels it 3 fold. Though Keseno is now an ally, he will not tolerate things that senshi did. His anger will burst out and similar motives he had in the umbra will arise. I suggest you ask some one to help Kawanua, or we will die from blood loss. Be thankful that Kawanua does not care for his own health, or Asaki would be dead right now.

Kitharsis watches as mostly everyone fights with their inner deamons. As he watches, he realizes that he is not alone in his madness. Apparently the greatest warriors of the universe have the longest to fall, and the pit is inside each of them.

Who...?

I said look more closely, they are all weak compared to their so called 'inner deamons.' This quest for the staff would be done with by now if everyone just let themselves go. Khora would be dead, the dark legion banished back to the afterlife. You would be free to return home, see your family and friends again, live again. What would you choose?

I... I would choose... I would-

Exactly, you do not know. What can be the harm in letting yourself go, if it is for a good cause. How many more people will die before your task is done? Would you not choose the path that will be the fastest? But no, you are not strong enough, evidently...

I am strong enough, if only I knew what you mean for me to do. I would end this in a moment. Khora would be no more. I would be master of my own destiny. The Oghrun would be destroyed, my people once again being powerful and respected. What would you have me do?

Time... Time will tell.

Kitharsis paces back and forth in the ruins clearly distressed about something. He looks up from time to time to see people fighitng, but he pays no heed. Finally, in a grim tone he states, "We should get going."

And he looks towards Soul Reaver and Stavarus.

Kanshisha hears the voice of Stavarus. It came to hi as a bit of qa surprise as he heard the crying from the cold hearted one to Soul Reaver.

" sooo...... he can cry after all..... Oh well....live or die....it's his choice..." his voice utters as he impaled a Legionnaire into the Masamune. creating an invisible shockwave of psychic energy, rushing them back by 20 yards. With this attack, Duriel makes himself seen as he watches Kanshisha's attackl agaainst the dark legion.

"Woooo....that was fun!" , Duriel said with glee as he smiled at the Legionnaires being blown back.

"why not just liquidate them?", He asked Kanshisha

"Because that's Soul's job... not mine...", he coldly replied to Duriel.

A small chuckle creeped through Duriel's mouth as he witnessed Kanshisha blow back the legionnaires an additional 30 kilometers, burning their dark robes and armor, yet not destroying them.

"My word.... you really need to just let it all out, lad..", Duriel tempted Kanshisha, noticing the Masamune still drawn.

"Jaa ma suru na!!!", Kanshisha roared at Duriel giving him a raged glare.

"Oh alright alright. I'll be watchin you.", he said to Kanshisha, realizing that his presence was irritating him.

As he vanished in a puff of Shadowed flame, a flash of black lightning scourched a wing of dark legionnaires, burning them to ashes. Duriel's laughter could be heard from above as it faded into the sky.

"Jerk...", Kanshisha said with slight anger.

Noticing that even that did not stop the Legionnaire's assault, Kanshisha sheathed the Masamune. He then took off his hood and reached out his arms.

"This should stall them so someone can come up with some sort of idea for us to get out...", he said under his breath.

"Everyone get back!!!!!", he warned as he charged the Omnigen Gift.

Blue Lightning eminated from his fingers in small sparks. The sparks then reformed infront of him in the shape of a small diamond. The diamond quickly crashed into the ground, creating a warped glyph. Kanshisha, with a good amount of force, thrusted his fist into the glyph.

The ground infront of him began to quake as he witnessed the legionnaires rushing towards him and his companions. Just when they came within 20 meters distance Kanshisha glared hsi eyes open.

"GOTCHA!!!", he said as he thrusted a surge of power into the glyph. Another towering wall arose with eminse speed. As it rose itno the sky, it's sides expanded across the battlefield. Magma, Wind, Lightning, Rock, and Psychic energy empowered the enormous wall.

He dropped ot hsi knees and began panting from exhaustion.

"that should *pant....buy us *pant...some time...*pant*", he said as he flopped backwards and layed on his back, his hair slightly covering his face.

he then sent a mental message to Stavarus and Soul
" .............Master Stavarus.........Life is precious... even yours..............", he utters.

He wonders where Shenba and Yue are, but remains still due to all the energy he used.

From over the horizon, a figure can be seen approaching slowly. His steps large and timed perfectly. His hair whips violently in large black and white strands, forming what appears to be a mane around his neck and shoulders.

Eyes red as rubies, and his figure still tattered from the early battle, Fei's face looks very sinister. Light bends inward into his figure, fueling his rage that burns within. An unseen cat carresses him, invisible to all who see him. His hands stretch longer then they were, growing several inches, sprouting blades from the fingertips. Each blade as long as an average sword.

His back arched down, he appears to be shorter then he was, but again appears to be taller. Blood drips from his plate white frame as he slowly approaches the others from the distance. With cruel intentions on mind, he looks about as volatile as a Hydrogen baloon. The slightest touch could set him off, and Tamrissa is no where in site at this point.

"That's right... just a little farther up this hill and you'll have plenty of time to play." Alex speaks, his small black shadowy body, pawing at Fei's boot laces. From the position of the sun, Fei's shadow seems to stretch on for some distance, creating what looks to be a cape that drags behind him, coming to life slowly and leaping around, it's chill giving the grass frostbite, and causing it to whither. "I've waited for this for a long time, my friend.... I'm suprised you had it in you.... I knew Tamrissa could do it. Anyways, I'm getting a bit thirsty.... Don't forget to clean off when you're done."

(ooc: Kanshisha... actually, Stavarus killed all the Dark Legion when he transformed. But it wasn't all that clear from my post, since I only made a passing mention of it, so I'll make it that a few of the Legionnaires survived.)

Soul Reaver listens to Kawanua's explanation.

Blooddrinker will not escape... not while he is in my hands. He may attempt to slip past my control at times... but a disaster of the magnitude you suggest is something that I simply will not allow to happen.

However, Soul Reaver ceases speaking on realising that a small handful of Legionnaires survived Stavarus' onslaught. He turns around to face the creatures. Stavarus seems useless for battle at the moment... he is too lost in his own misery to do anything.

Soul Reaver grips Blooddrinker in both hands as the Legionnaires withstand wave after wave of Kanshisha's attacks. After Kanshisha summons the wall, Soul Reaver relaxes somewhat.

"This should give me time to prepare for their coming..."

Soul Reaver begins to chant rapidly and gesture with his hands, threads of magic glittering behind his fingertips. A wall of transparent blackness glimmers into being around him as he wreathes himself in a Retribution Shield, and the flaming cylindrical Flame Shield soon envelops his body as well. A third shield appears around him, a spherical barrier that flares into life for a moment before becoming invisible.

Soul Reaver then begins to concentrate, gathering his strength to himself. Small sparks of crimson energy occasionally spit from his body.

"I hope you are all prepared to finish this..."

Soul Reaver waits for Kanshisha's wall to drop so that he can engage the enemy...

Cameron stares at Kanshisha's wall. He wavers a bit, and then stumbles backwards, backing into a pillar and sliding to the ground. His sword falls out of his hand and falls to the cracked flagstones. A trickle of blood flows from Cameron's mouth, and he holds up his left arm and examines the stump of his hand.

I'm out of energy. My body and my armour have stopped regenerating, and I'm badly wounded. There's no way I can go on like this.

Cameron scans the area quickly.

I need a host. But everyone here are my allies, so I have no one to use.

Cameron then looks at the wall again.

I have no choice. I'll have to try and use one of the Legionnaires.

((OOC: Soul, you should remember this one from AB. ))

Cameron's eyes close, and his head falls back, cracking against the pillar. As this happens, a strange glowing energy escapes Cameron's body and floats into the air. It quickly forms itself into a solid ball of energy. The ball of energy flies over Kanshisha's wall just as Cameron's body stops functioning. It flies around for a few seconds, and then smashes into an unsuspecting Legionaries.

The Legionnaire stops moving, and bright orange glowing cracks begin to form all over it's body. The Legionnaire puffs up like a balloon as the cracks spread. Finally, with a blinding flash, the Legionnaire explodes, spraying body parts all over the area. Cameron stands in it's place, his aura whirling around his body like a vortex. His seemingly brand new suit of power armour reflects the glow of his aura off its polished surfaces. His old body and armour on the other side of the room crumble into dust, and his sword disappears from the ground and re-appears in his hand. He quickly glances over at the remaining Legionaries and grins as his helmet re-appears on his head. His hand is still missing, but it is no longer bleeding, and all his other cuts and gashes have stopped bleeding as well.

These Legionnaires have a lot more energy within them than I thought. Now, to kick some ass before I use it all up.

Cameron quickly lunges at the closest Legionnaire, swinging his sword upward and burying it into the dark warrior's chest.

"My pet... how do you suppose we take care of them?" The cat speaks to Fei as he approaches the large wall. "I have an idea..... heh heh heh."

The beastial Fei drags his sword like talons across the wall, cutting deep into it, creating a horendous scratching that the group can hear. A low growl coming from the other side.

Entertaining himself the cat leaps up onto Fei's shoulder, where Fei proceeds to vanish, soaring into the air with a steady leap. As he hangs high above the wall, he looks down at the others and grins sadistically, unaware of who he is or what he is and the same for them. But the one incharge knows exactly what he's doing.

As his sleek, catlike frame flows gracefully over the wall, his shadow follows him, creating a blanket of darkness in the sky that writhes around.

Leaning forward, Fei begins to fall out of the sky, performing a frontward dive to build momentum, his hands at his side, and the shrouded blanket of darkness trailing from his back.

As he descends from the sky, he begins to suffer from terminal velocity, that pulls him down harder. In a sudden flash, he flips suddenly and vanishes from the sky, then lands on the top of a broken collumn of the Cathedral, the darkness crawling around the pillar to the ground where it begins to cover the cathedral and a tranquil yet, disturbing shade.

"Good boy... now it's my turn to have fun." The cat speaks to Fei, right at his shoulder, invisible to all and who's presence cannot be felt. Fei's presence is gone at this point, stuffed away somewhere.

With a bonechilling Roar, Fei leans over the collumn and looks down on the others, his claws draping over the side of the broken pillar. His eyes and mind full of bloodlust as he frenzies.

Cameron finishes off his Leigonairre just as fei appears. Looking up, Cameron immedeately realizes the gravity of the situation. He takes a few steps back, falling into a defensive positon. He screams out a message to the others.

"I think Fei's gone completely mad! Stay away from him!"

Cameron grits his teeth as he powers up.

I'm already running off borrowed energy, and now we have to deal with this? Great.

Cameron stands his ground, determined to do his best to keep Fei away from the others should he happen to attack.

Alex! You slime ball! What did you do to him? Tamrissa follows after Fei, growling her question at the shadowy cat.

She narrows her eyes to a glare and stalks after the vampire and the taunting cat. Within she feels Feis hunger for blood and violence rising.

Fei, dont let him do this.

When she sees where he is heading, her eyes widen and she breaks out in a full run. Her gaze darts around, trying to keep track of where her bond mate is, but finally losing him.

Where did he go?! she comes charging up to the group, olive eyes wild, aura flared outward in a suffocating cloud of power. Take cover, defend yourselves, but DO NOT kill him!

She spins around in a circle slowly, listening and searching. Her eyes catch some odd looks from her companions and she opens her mouth to try and explain.

I said some things I should have kept to myself, he got upset, that bastard Alex got to him and now hes

The roar sounds from above and she whips her head around to look at the bloodthirsty beast Fei has become.

frenzying. Take cover and defend yourselves, this is my problem.

She lowers her brows and tightens her mouth to a thin line, refusing to back down. Her eyes burn bright green as she prepares to use her magic

Cameron's aura flares up again as he raises his power levels to their maximum potential.

A smirk crosses the cat's face as he rolls his eyes at Tamrissa. "Blondie!... I knew you'd come to save me..." He speaks in a taunting voice. "Enough of this... Fei, kill her."

Leaning down the the pillar, Fei begins to crawl on all 4's walking down the side of the pillar with a predatory grace. Bringing his hands to the ground, he kicks his back legs up off the pillar, slowly performing a forward handspring, bringing his legs to the ground and pulling himself forward, walking with his 2 hands in the ground, his frame that of a slender cat as he approaches her.

As Clutch steps forward, the Cat's eyes go to him and laughs. "What is this? A side show?" Fei continues to advance towards Tamrissa, his eyes that haunting, bloodthirsty red. His grin very menacing.

As he gets within 5 feet of Tamrissa, he pulls himself up, standing over her. "Why are you hesitating Puppet? Kill her! Do it know! Or Kill him first!"

Fei's eyes flash to an orange for a second then he looks over at Clutch, his face holding it's menace. "Well fine, Chicken shit, we'll take him out first."

Fei's figure begins to flash a slight blue, before he vanishes infront of the others, the afterimage of shadows, rolling into nothing. In some instances, he can be seen bounding off the sides of pillars and from around walls, leaving flashes of sparks to confuse his prey who can't keep up with his speed, shadowy images being left all over the place.

Suddenly it happens, As Clutch Looks around, he gets the faint glimpse of Fei right in his face as in a slow motion horror film. Fei's claws coming around to drive themselves into Clutch and to rip him apart as he seems to whips by in a trail of shadows.

She lifts her chin.

She breathes in sharply as he disappears, watching the flashes of him moving around in the distance.

"Cameron, you are in no shape to fight!"

Her eyes trace the hard to see actions of Fei.

"Get down!"

Vines whip up in front of Clutchfiend, creating a wall of leathery skinned writhing plant-life. One shoots out to knock Fei away...

Cameron sees Fei look at him and then dissapear. Knowing that there is no way he'll be able to keep up with his speed, he simply chants a spell quickly while scanning the area for fei's presence with his mind. He detects Fei a mere second before he sees the face appear in front of him. Almost immedeatly, Cameron's body becomes transparent.

Cameron re-appears above the wrecked cathedral. Down below, his own after-image flickers and then fades away. Cameron yells down to Fei.

"Come on, you bitch! COME AND GET ME!"

The vines explode as they charge Fei, falling to the ground in evenly sliced cubes about 1inch by 1 inch. As Clutch vanishes he finds himself being hovered over practically instantly. "I already got you Clutch..." A deep, sinister voice echoes from behind Clutch's neck, trailing down his spine.

Before clutch has the chance to disappear or try another spell, Fei wheels back and brings his claws down with acute accuracy and un-noticable speed, the beast within laughing at Clutch's weakness.

"Fei! No!"

Tamrissa screams as he tries yet again to gut Clutch. Desperate, she slips one of her daggers out of the wrist sheath beneath her sleeve. With clenched teeth, she looks up at the two fighting and rips the blade down over her left wrist. Holding it to the side, she lets the blood fall, turning her eyes to it.

You couldn't kill me, but you'll be sorely mistaken if you don't think I'll kill myself to save the others!

Taking another deep breath, she puts the blade into her shaking left hand and draws it down across her right wrist. Giving a small cry, she then brings both bloody hands to the blade and sets the point right over her heart, slowly pressing. Her eyes go up to Fei...

((OOC: remember everyone. Nobody can hear or see, or even feel the presence of the Cat.))

Before the Claws come down on Clutch's head, they're suddenly stopped with the sound of blood falling. With the snap of his head, Fei narrows in on Tamrissa.

Bringing his claws to the side, pushing clutch aside suddenly who falls off the top of the cathedral, he begins to crawl down the pillar to her. The cat on Fei's shoulder growls with what she's doing. "What do you think you're doing, Blondie? And why do you speak to him like he's still there? It's only me... Fei's away right now..."

As she speaks, the Cat grows angry. "Damn it! You wouldn't!" Fei lunges forward, landing just a few feet infront of her. As she brings the dagger up to her chest, the Cat sneers, as well as Fei who begins to growl with what's she's doing. Remembering over the fact that Fei is bound to her, and the deal that he made with Fei, the Cat leaps off his shoulder.

"You make me sick you wench!" The cat says, it's eyes glowing the 2 different shades of colors. 1 blue and 1 green.
Leaping back on Fei's shoulder, Fei suddenly vanishes once again.

Appearing on the other side of the wall, Fei sits down, rocking back in forth, trying to force himself away from the beast that controls him. "There's no use fighting.... I can do no more with you... "

Crawling down Fei's shoulder to his lap, the cat shakes his head and hops off. "Now Wake up!" The cat suddenly screams at Fei before vanishing into his shadow. Fei suddenly snaps up, back the way he was, his eyes shifting back from a Red to their Emerald green. "What has he done to me?....."

Standing up, Fei pulls his hair back, looking at his hands, then looking over himself. "He got in control again..... No..."

Regaining himself, he closes his eyes for but a moment then looks up at the wall. With a sudden bound, Fei quickly darts over the wall, landing on the other side, ontop of the destroyed Cathedral in a 3 point, crouched stance. His hair covering his eyes and face. At this point it's almost impossible to tell if he's still hostile or not.

Through all the sudden actions, Fei's presence is back but is un-noticed by the others yet, though his presence begins to fill the void of the bond once more, removing that sickening emptiness.

The feeling is mutual, kitty. Now go find a mouse to hunt, they are more in your league.

She watches as Fei vanishes, then slowly she allows the cuts on her wrists to heal and lowers the dagger.

"I think its over, but keep your guard," she mumbles to everyone as she slips the weapon back into its sheath beneath her sleeve.

Her eyes scan the cathedral until they find him, irises fading to their normal olive hue...

Stumbling forward, Fei lifts his head, looking down at Tamrissa as he slowly leaps from one pillar to the next. Crouching down on one, much like he did before in his beastial state, he lifts his head to reveal his glowing green eyes to Tamrissa. With a faint whisper in his native language, he speaks to her. "Why the lies, madaam?"

His eyes shimmer with sincerity as he looks at her. His soft voice enunciating the gentle, native words of their kind, that nobody understands him except for her. "And why the tears... if the lies were real?" Fei closes his eyes to contemplate the events that happened, not realizing that he was just moments away from slaughtering his companions just a minute ago.

"I hope this is me...because I don't know what and who I am anymore." Openning his almost bloodshot emerald eyes, Fei summersauts off the top of the pillar, landing on his feet, and begins to walk towards Tamrissa. "I'm... sorry. I won't let it happen again..... But I don't understand how the bond could make you want me.. or why it made you kiss me..."
