Soul Reaver looks up as the pillar falls towards him. Surpisingly, he makes no move to get out of the way. As it is about to hit him, he punches upwards with his left fist, exploding a section of the pillar into rubble, the remaining two pieces falling harmlessly to his left and right side.
Soul Reaver stands back for a few moments, observing the battle. He watches as Gulver attacks Matthias, and is laid low.
A swordsman... and he possesses some form of psychic attack.Observing Damien's fight, he thinks,
And a marksman. He is more frivolous, but capable of holding off several attackers at once.On seeing Matthias challenge Tamrissa, Soul Reaver sends a mental message her way.
I would be very wary of accepting that challenge, Tamrissa. He is not only an extremely skilled swordsman, but he possesses psychic attacks as well.
Depending on how honourable he is, you may be well-advised to guard yourself against them in some way...Deciding that it is not right for him to interfere in a challenge, he instead turns his attention towards Damien.
Soul Reaver runs forwards, Blooddrinker in hand, and an invisible projectile shield around him. He stops a few steps short of Damien. He looks angry.
"Enough of your antics, bounty-hunter."
Soul Reaver steps back, quickly breathing some words of magic that make the skin of anyone listening crawl. He rapidly traces a smoky rune into the air with the trail of purple energy following his finger.
The spell is completed in a mere moment, and the rune pulses a dark purple before disappearing.
Damien immediately feels the Curse spell settle on him. His limbs feel letharigic and heavy, his mind addled, his vision blurred, and he feels a deep-seated sense of despair, as if the Gods themselves had abandoned him.
"Now perhaps you're more willing to-"
"DIE, vermin!!!"
Soul Reaver whirls around at the sound of the sudden shout. It is Stavarus. A bolt of blue power flies from his crossbow at massive speed, narrowly flying past Damien's head and exploding into a massive fireball. Soul Reaver raises his arms against the scorching heat and flying shrapnel. He is forced to back off, just as Stavarus re-cocks his crossbow with a deft hand-movement and fires another hissing bolt directly at Damien's chest...
(ooc: That's also an explosive bolt - be aware that it's not just a fire-element attack, but also exerts a bone-crushing shockwave when it goes off, so fire-affinity isn't enough to resist it completely. I'll let Neo decide what happens next.
