Tamrissa turns her eyes away from Deravon and Keseno, putting her hand to forehead.
If he touches one of them again
she begins to tell Fei, then lets her voice fade inside her mind.
She sighs and removes the angry glare from her eyes, suddenly looking drained once more. Her eyes find Stavarus as he enters the room again, looking much better than when he left. Inclining her head a bit in his direction, she moves off to the doors across the room.
A room, please, and any clothing you can provide, she motions to one of the shame slaves outside the door she steps through.
Reaching up behind her neck to unclasp the amulets chain, she enters the room her guide shows her to.
When we reach the destination that my ally has asked to be taken to, I wish to be notified. Thank you.
She does not even turn around as the door closes behind her. Her hand wraps around the amulet protectively and she moves to take a seat on the cot against the wall.
I should not have been so agitated by your request to return to the Umbra before me, Fei. If you wish, you should go.
Laying his resting place carefully beside her, she peels off a boot. A knock at the door brings her eyes up.
Enter.
The shame slave marches in dutifully and lays a pile of clothing in her outstretched hands, then turns and exits again. Staring after the servant distantly, she puts the garments aside. Her other boot comes off and she dumps it beside its mate. Hoping the planet they land on has some sort of life energy on it, she rolls her aching shoulders and stands. She grabs the outfit provided and walks into the shower room. A long hot shower later, she returns. An over-sized black tunic is belted at her waist over loose black pants. Soft leather shoes take the place of her cruddy battle-worn boots. Her damp hair is bound neatly at the nape of her neck. She picks up the amulet and dons it once more. Closing her eyes wearily, she collapses back on the cot and reclines, uncomfortably trying to relax as she lifts her lids to stare up at the ceiling.
I hate space, she mumbles. And ships.
After what seems like days, she turns her head towards the door as another knock sounds.
Yes. Thank you.
She swings her legs over the edge of the bed and strides to the door, exiting the small quarters to follow the shame slave to the airlock leading out of the ship. Her eyes widen in anticipation as a breeze from the world hits her in the face. As soon as her feet touch the ground, her aura extends down from her, pulling at the life force around her. A few steps away from the ship and she is on her knees, hands pressed to the ground beside her. Her bowed head and closed eyes fit well with Souls ceremony for the Warp Travelers, though her quiet reverence is much credited to the fact that she has regained her powers. She only looks up when Stavarus begins to speak. Despite all that he has said in the past, she finds herself giving him the forgiveness he asks for and even some respect for the mission he has claimed for himself.
Safe journeys, my lord. Despite what faults you lay on yourself, do not fault a strong will, she smiles slightly. It will save you more than it will endanger you. Farewell.
She watches him leave, breathing in a breath of closure
Tukedos sudden cry brings her to her feet. She meets him halfway, hand going to his shoulder.
What is it?!
Good afternoon, Ms. Rohanson
Roshan
its Roshan, she growls at the sound of Gulvers voice, then glares as he continues.
By now, youre wondering how I managed to send a message to Tukedo on a secure line. The answer is simple. Just find a kedo and make sure the others are distracted trying to dig out victims. Im just sending this message to notify you that Im coming for you and Ill kill everybody whos even near you. Too bad about the 120, 283 people in District L at Cenzar but I needed to get your attention and also to get my point across. Youre going to die and no one can save you. Well, Im off now, be seeing you soon.
Before the message can end, a loud angry yell bursts from her lips and she pushes away from Tukedo. She spins around and stalks away, hands going to the sides of her head as she rolls her eyes up to the sky. Once she is far enough away from the others, she brings her hands over her face, hunching over as if she is pain. A few moments later, she stands straight and drops her hands to her sides. Olive eyes flash and she turns back to Tukedo, calling to him.
Are you able to send a message to Cenzar for me?
