The boat comes to an abrupt halt as it thuds... well, squishes into the side of the cavern. Kith sways and flails his arms, managing to keep his balance.
"I'm fine, thanks for asking." He blinks in the odd light, his red eyes still glowing.

The hissing sound stops as the lights ahead in the tunnel seem to be blocked by something. Large ripples slightly rock the boat as the approaching... Thing... Approaches... ((Not too creative this evening)) Anyway... The smell gets worse and worse as the thing approaches... The hissing again starts and the thing is now visable. It is a large Snail like creature with a small saddle. The thing comes up to the boat and looks at the occupants. It's slimy eyes change direction and blink. The snail lets out a groan and turns facing it's backside towards the boat. Two floating objects tap against the front of the boats lightly. On each of them they have directions to connect the cords to the boat and be towed down stream by the Snail... Appropriotly named "Tug".

Tamrissa Roshan | Re: Salt in the Wound (Part 1, Chapter IV)
Willems arms drop away from Tamrissa as Fei enters the amulet, feeling the cold melt away from her skin. He stands slowly, looking down at her with an almost saddened expression loosening his usual smug passiveness.
Perhaps that and that alone will work in our favor, he mumbles a reply to Fei in his mind. His eyes dart up suddenly and his fingertips come up to push at his temples, the flare of his eyes brightening. In the darkness ahead of them, a misty presence makes itself known with the pale smoky glow of the supernatural. Wispy ribbons of the ghosts blast past them, flickering by in frighteningly fast slashes that burn the air with shockingly freezing temperatures. Once the mass has passed, they turn again as if they would strike. Yet, their long ribbon-like forms separate into individuals, the hollow-eyed gaunt features wavering over bodies made of tapering limbs and torso. They circle around the small group in silence, bodies collapsing into trees and appearing whole on the other sides. When in a circular position, they freeze, wispy limbs moving in an unfelt breeze. Mooor Lote Agarrr Gurrrtha , one howls pitfully, speaking as though it struggles with the sidhe language. Bragollach Firimar Huiva .Dhaeraow! Valya!! Willem scowls at the faint spirit. Valya vanwa sen!! What are they saying?! Tam stands finally, hand resting over the amulet around her neck. He ignores her and the spirits do not retreat from his commanding tone. In fact, they grow closer, faces never changing but the temperature of the air dropping fiercely. The crickets go deathly silent, not a branch or blade of grass stirs. Valya, the tall sidhe tries again, taking one hand away from his temples to point a circle at the enclosing frights. Valya van- With his words, a thunderous sound scrapes through the forest around them. It sounds as though a giant wooden door has closed. If one would look up it would seem as if the trees have bent over beneath a sudden weight, trapping them even more with their large trunks serving as bars. Through it all, the spirits remain steady, not fleeing or attacking. Shhhhaaa-toom. Shhhhaaa-toom. The leaves around them suddenly give a long rustle and then are silenced by a loud cracking boom. Again. Once more. And again. He warns us, his voice says with distaste between the ear-shattering pounding, his hand going to the robe over his lithe figure. It would be best if we ran, but it is very unlikely that we will make it to the tree camps without some attack. Tamrissa, stay behind me and have the bounty hunters flank us. Unwelcome or not, they shall win my approval if they keep you and themselves in tact during this. The druidic sorceress sneaks a small glance at Damien and Matthias, knowing they have heard and wanting to see if their reaction will be indignant or passive. As for her, she knows she can defend herself well enough and does not press the plan to have them defend her. Willem pulls the robe over his head, the heavily embroidered saffron of his wrapped tunic now visible along with the leather of his boots reaching to his mid-thigh with only a small patch of the brown trousers beneath showing. The robe is tossed carelessly aside and he pulls a dagger and a rapier from his belt. He gives a disapproving glance to Damiens choice of weapon either that or his own mind has found some of the hunters thoughts. But without speaking, he turns slowly to face an unmoving haunt. His voice becomes tour guide like again. If my knowledge of this forest does not fail me, the sound- the noise cuts him off perfectly. The sound is that of Mahkah the guardian of the cave portal. He is active now because of the danger present. The danger we have caught the attention of. The cracks begin to shakes the ground now, chips of bark and loose leaves drifting down from above. It is almost like a warning for all creatures to scatter before he arrives, he gives his thats-the-way-it-is shrug and remarks. He is a very fair being, if a tad moody. This gets better and better, Tamrissa mutters, her own sword in hand and ready. Oh yes, and I believe it will continue to do so, their guide nods over his shoulder. Valya. The spirits in front of him drift back as he presses forward, his invocation apparently working more effectively now. He jogs down the path quickly, eyes on the surrounding trees. His dagger hand waves them on. He is not but ten feet in front of them before he stops dead in his tracks once again. A shrieking animates the darkness beyond the path and five more of the same terrible sounds answer from all sides. They attack together, horribly disfigured diseased things with murky white eyes and rows of razor teeth. Running like wolves to an injured deer, with their extremely hunched spines extending and collapsing almost in half as they hit ground between loping leaps. What is frightening is that they look almost humanoid in form, but for the long claws that serve as feet and the wrinkled, mottled gray skin that covers their bony skeletons. Spider silk fine wisps of black hair hang over the disgustingly pale faces with shrunken noses and lips pulled back from gray-green gums and teeth. Each movement swings the hair back from their hideousness. When they get close enough they leap with a shrill cry, sunken chests guarded by heavy metal plates and skinny throats protected by gorgets. Sharp talons come down rapidly at their targets, and jaws open wide to begin ripping at flesh. Ten have found them and by the sounds coming all around, more are on their way ((OOC: Some notes on these creatures the metal plate guarding their chests and the gorget on the neck must be penetrated or removed to get to their vital parts, which are the only two striking points to get an instant kill otherwise they fight even when they are without limbs, sight, etc. The metal used to make this armor is paper thin and pitch black, but it is stronger than steel. So, the best way to do this would be to find a way around the armor. They are very agile and can easily dodge a messy strike, so be precise. Fire melts skin, but does not deter them. Magic is quite useless as they have anti-magic shields cast on them. If you are scratched, the flesh around the wound turns gray almost immediately and festers. If you are bit, you run chance of ending up looking like one of them in but an hour if an antidote is not administered. Immortal or mortal, vampire or alive. Again, sorry for the extremely long delay ..)) |

Soul Reaver | A slow ride | ||
(ooc: Ok... no moster, unfortunately. Well, we'll see.)
Soul Reaver lowers Blooddrinker slightly when he sees the giant slug is not an enemy. The light sphere illuminates the slug brightly as the boat is attached to it and jerked away towards its destination. As it journeys, Soul Reaver talks to Kitharsis. "Now, Kitharsis... where have you been disappearing to? You seem... changed. Not just physically, but spiritually as well..." |

Kanshisha | Play time | ||
As the Nocturne Kenshi closed in on Sera, Otaken, Rhiyou and Kanshisha, Otaken readies into a defensive stance and Kanshisha readies Grandiel.
"kuso....i can't use the Omnigen on him.....", Kanshisha says under his breath. "Something is wrong, Kanshisha..", Otaken says in concern. "You and I both know that Duriel could decimate this planet with a single thought. ANd he's only using a fraction of his power with the master. What is holding him back? Why is he exerting restraint?", He adds "I don't know.. But whatever it is, it must be important...", Kanshisha replies. ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~meanwhile in the duel between Duriel and Keseno~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ "I'm going easy on you and you still don't put up a challenge...", Duriel says in annoyance. But something was keeping him from destroying everworld. Like Otaken had said, Duriel could have decimated the entire planet, aswell as the galaxy it belonged to. But something he knew held him back. Kawsonia...... Although the knowledge of this being did not pose a threat to him, Duriel kept restraint none the less.... "STOP BORING ME!!!!", Duriel roars with irritation. the Omnigen roars to life with Duriel's impatience. The darkness within the depths fo thje canyons erupt from the grounds with ferocity as they flare in violent motions around Duriel. His wings grow wider and begin tyo duplicate at an excelerated rate. Bolts of black lightning thrust into the grounds, forcing up mounds of rock and marble. titanical pillars of dark flame are shot down from the clouds as multiple explosions are caused by their impact to the lands below. It was already evident that Duriel was bored. Yet he still kept restraint. He took a look at Sera from yards away and a smirk crossed his lips. An elegant smirk of evil. "Let's play little girl...." |

Kitharsis | Re: A slow ride
Kitharsis stares at the giant slug. Confusion crosses his face, then slowly fading to a look lf longing.
"A short time ago," Kith explains, "that thing would have reminded me of home, the swamp and all the creatures that inhabit it, big and small." Sighing he lowers his head, slowing shaking his it from side to side as if he were disappointed. "But not now," his neck straightens, and he looks towards Soul Reaver. "Not now. The desert is my home now." "To answer your question, Soul Reaver, I have been travelling to my homeworld to meet with my shaman. He has been training me so that I may be able to meet my full potential in my new form." He raises his eyebrow at Soul Reaver. "I almost forgot. You are a master of souls." He chuckles. "I suppose as an effect of my training my spirit may have been changed. I do hope it has been for the best though..." He trails off with the last few words. Apparently deep in thought. |

As the group floats down the river, they pass an intersection in the tunnel. The snail stops dead in it's tracks and goes limp... A small trickle of green blood runs down it's neck and a faint chuckling can be heard from up the empty tunnel. The tunnel has a raised floor with steps leading up from the water into the stone archway. The clomp of heavy boots can be heard comming down that corridor...
"Jihon..." The voice is raspy and deep... "I smell shame all around this god forsaken place... I know you are here..." The man suddenly appears in the boat directly in front of Soul. He is wearing a black muscle shirt and a shiny mask... His face is inches away from Soul's and he sniffs at him. "Where is he?" The man asks with a strange concerned tone in his voice... "And who the hell are you people... And why do you have Shame slaves?" The mans tone changes to one of anger... "Tell me!" <b> "I am the damned child... The legacy of shame... Yet... I fight... keseno reappears infront of Duriel. Minor scraps as seen on his face and arms. his black robe is gone, his black long wings extended fully. " This is my domain, leave the land as it is. " Keseno glares at Duriel as he casts his own magic on the land. All the destruction Duriel did fades into nothing, the land instantly returns to how it was. the palace walls remain gone but the boarders seal up. Keseno tightens his grip on shenba. " Why should I fight you. I am no match for you. Everything I would throw at you would be like a fly buzzing around your head. " Keseno charges towards duriel knowing anything he does will be useless. Using his samurai mastery keseno swings the sword as it was like a feather, pulling out powerful samurai techniques. Keseno continues to attack relentless. ignoring any demands from his body. <<*Kawanua*>>

The mans expression fades into a nuetral one and then a smile forms across his lips within the slit of the mask...
"I am Ikerus.... Rougue of the Bed family... I assure you I act on my own in all affairs and think that my older brother is nothing more than an arrogant bag of wind... I am sure you know of him... Samita Bed?" The man pauses for a second and then looks back at Soul.... "Jihon didn't go to the warp tumor did he? If he did... He has fallen right into my brothers trap...." He looks at the snail "Tug" and raises his palm to it. The creature springs back to life as fast as a tunnel snail could. "We are in grave danger if this is the case..." Suddenly all of the shame slaves, as well as Ikerus, stop and fall to the ground in agonizing pain. Fire shoots out from all the masks nearly singing everything in the vicinity. "He has done it!!! The fool! He is inside the warp tumor! He intends to take on Balok himself!!!! Balok is far too powerful for him..." Ikerus looks at the people on the boat... "Follow whatever instructions he gave you... He may have a plan... I am sure we shall all meet again... Hopefully on worse terms... Oh and while I am thinking about it." Bethedral disapears off of the ship and reapears in the stairway leading down the empty tunnel. "Say hello to my brother Ishad... He will be looking for you at the other end of this tunnel." The man disapears again. <b> "I am the damned child... The legacy of shame... Yet... I fight... I will continue in my fathers footsteps... whether I am accepted or not..."</b>

Kith clenches his teeth in anger as the slug stops, and dies. Even though the swamp is not his home now, he still does not like to see innocent creatures die.
"A warp tumor... That is disturbing. I suppose I should stay around more often, I may not miss as much then." A bit of annoyance hangs on his words. The slug rises back to life, greeted by a smile from Kitharsis. He doesn't seem interested in the shame slaves and Ikerus as they fall to the ground, clearly in agony. Instead he stares straight ahead, with some of the flames from Ikerus snapping at his back. Just for practice, Kith searches for the energy inside of him. Instantly the tattoos on his arms begin to faintly glow, then die down almost as quick as they were illuminated. A sly grin rests firmly on his face. |

Tukedo: Gulver is alive... This is bad... Edgar: Yeah... He doesn't seem like a respectable fellow. Tukedo: Yeah... He is responcible for many deaths in Cenzar... Edgar: I remember... I didn't know who it was... But I didn't get there in time... Just like... Tukedo: Like? Edgar: Never mind... He has long ago forgotten... I just pray that he doesn't remember... Edgar: This is not even a fit place for a cainite... Tukedo: Hah... I won't even ask... The two turn away from the city... They hear the sound of engines off in the distance as two sand cruisers apprach. They stop just feet from the two... Patrollman 1: What the hell are you doing out of the city? You know damn well... *Gurgle* The patrolman falls from the sand cruiser without a wound... The other one looks on in horror and then he too falls dead... Soul Reaver | Journey's End
Soul Reaver narrows his eyes in suspicion as Ikerus speaks. However, he reacts with shock when the Shame slaves and Ikerus suddenly collapse to the ground, a wave of heat washing over Soul Reaver as the flames lick from their masks.
He remains silent and cautious as Ikerus talks, and is glad to see him go... but feels less than easy about the predicted meeting with another member of the cursed Bed family. He looks over at Kitharsis as their journey behind Tug continues. "I do not like the way this is going. Yes, Jihon left to investigate a Warp Tumour... and if Ikerus is correct, then that bodes great ill for him. And the presence of so many members of the Bed family here cannot be a good sign either. I think perhaps we are in the middle of something very serious indeed." Soul Reaver then turns back to face the river... there seems to be a light up ahead. The tunnel is coming to an end. "Well, we should be prepared for another meeting with one of Jihon's 'friends'..." |

Kanshisha | Let's play catch, bird boy~!
The Nocturne Kenshi remain silent as they stand ready before their appointed targets.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~meanwhile~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Duriel smirks as Keseno continues his attacks. Everything Duriel saw in battle was in slow motion, as he could perfectly telegraph his enemies movements. "...Never fought someone so slow...", Duriel said in annoyance as He continued dodging Keseno's slashes and stabs. "If Xion were here, he would ahve put up a fight for ages. But much ot my annoyance, you are far from matching HIS skill.", he added. There was no ned to for Duriel to expell any destructive forces. He knew Keseno was no prepared. Physical attacks would do fine in a fight as low caliber as this.. With inhuman velocity, Duriel appeared to be only a blur of red and black as he dodged and parried Keseno's attacks. Even his many wings were difficult to spot. Just vibrations speed and accuracy is all he appeared to be in this fight. All the while, Duriel kept his arms crossed and motionless as his effortless defense continued on. "If you are trying to bore me, you're succeeding....Let's add a little fuel to the flame..." With a small. diabolical grin, Duriel bolts upwards into the skies. His aura began to grow larger and brighter as he gained more altitude. As he stopped, miles above Keseno, he began to glow a firey green radiance as it reflected the lights of the sun above Everworld. Both light and darkness combined into his open palms as his eyes grew black and empty, looking into the sky. Everworld may be Keseno's domain, But the multiverse was Duriel's playground. "How about we have a little game? Keep your eyes on the prize, kiddo!!" Lifting his hand upward, his aura seemed to shift into a blackish blue hue as it swirled around him with deadly grace. A small sphere appeared above his hand. The sphere was black and silverish. Blue lightning pulsed and charged around this ominous ball of light and shadow. Duriel's open palm, then changed into a pointing hand, as his index finger pointed to the sky. The ball hovered upwards, balancing itself perfectly atop his fingertip. "CATCH IT IF YOU CAN!!!!!!", he roared towards Keseno with ferocious glee. His very voice parted the clouds around him, dissolving them away. With the warning in place, Duriel launched the energy ball directly at Keseno. The closer it got to its target, the large it grew. But just before it was only 12 feet away from Keseno, it exploded, causing a shockwave to envelope the surrounding terrain, blowing down mountains and forrests in its wake. After the light of the shockwave dissolved away, enormous black shards of darkness began to fall into the ground below, curving and siotorting space and time. The shards collected into a large lake, like shadow. A growl erupted from the dark lake as Duriel hovered above Keseno and smiled. "That-a-way, chief!", he said as he pointed down in a taunting manner. The lake began to bubble around and swirl. And in a preditorial raor, a black, serpent-like dragon emerged form the lake, the omnigen's energy dripped from its scales like water. With an earth-quaking roar, The dragon bolted towards Keseno, ready to tear its target to shreds. ((ooc: Just for future referance, the dragon is not a dragon. Its is an attack that is under Duriel's control. Think of it as a pseudo summoning. )) |
Fei Serumen | Re: Salt in the Wound (Part 1, Chapter IV)
"heh... looks like we have a fight on our hands....... watch out." The amulet speaks out before a black explosion presses forward, Tugging Tamrissa forward as the tenebrae being coils into a black ball floating several feet into the air. Its movements define grace and elegance as it thins out, coiling down into the outline of Fei.
Becoming opaque, winds stir around the hovering Fei, the black and white lengths of his hair flurry around his body. Falling to the ground, Fei takes a 3 point stance, extending his one hand to the side, his fingers outstretched and slightly turned upright. A howling echoes through the forest aside from the path as a spinning, Light absorbing, Gold disc Screams with speed as it pathfinds its way to Fei's hand who spins it from his left hand, tossing it into the air, catching it with his right with a dextrous display of grace and speed. The instant the sword relaxes, hilt gently held in Fei's right hand, it's spun around in a whirlwind of vibrant colors, that of which match the colors and lights of the surrounding area. Dashing past Willem, a trail of leaves kicking high into the air behind him, following his Shadowy afterimage, Fei takes the offensive, his eyes flashing a Bright Topaz yellow. "If it's me you want, come and get me!" Fei howls out into the shadows of the night, the shadows pulling themselves from the trees and following him. Coming to a complete stop, 3 creatures come swinging at him. With a display of fluid movements, the Creatures find themselves at a disappointment as their claws just dig up dirt, smoke and leaves as Fei weaves his body around them with incredible agility. Backpedalling, Fei bounds from side to side as the 3 creatures keep coming at him, relentlessly. Swinging their massive talons, the ground breaks apart with each heavy slam, just missing Fei in their eyes as he predicts and dodges their every movement. Sliding backwards, one hand on the ground, clenching the dirt, Fei brings his sword back behind him, lifting his one arm back and behind. Kicking off a tree that snaps like a twig as he propels himself forward, he quickly closes the distance between himself and the 3 monstrousities. His sword coming back around with perfect timing, a shower of Sparks ignite against the black property of their chestplates launching the 3 creatures into a spin, sending them 30 feet backwards to the ground sliding. While in the air, Fei enchants a mass of baali Fire around his right arm as it glides up to the tip of his black, abyssmal blade. This baal fire is proof alone of his decent from the Sidhe world, as it is a Dark art that only the fallen can utilize. The creatures are quick to leap back up to their feet, their chestplates having deep carvings within them. |
As Tug pulls them out into the bright sunlight Kith squints, his one eye open slightly as to adjust faster. His eyes still seem to glow, even though it is broad daylight. Noticing that Tug has looked back at them, he steps forward and unhooks the rope connecting his and Soul's boat to the creature. He then attatches them to the dock, not quite feeling like a swim for a moment. He looks very worried for a second, then digs in his cloak for something. Apparently he finds it as he sighs a breath of releif. With an air of someone unaware of anything around him, Kith steps up onto the dock and starts walking towards dry land. He stares a few feet ahead of his own feet, seemingly disconnected to the world. |
