Danyael stops and prepares to face sera with a counter. But he looks back on himself. He then looks at gale, delicately leaning him against a nearby bench, making sure he is comfortable.
Danyael had to finish this nonsense once and for all. Sera had insulted him. And after the chaos that he just endured, he would not tolerate insults lightly.
"If i'm really corrputed, then I would not have helped Soul.", he says as he walks off. He did not even bother to counter Sera completely for her insults bore too deep, opening up old wounds. But thoughts lingered in his mind. If he was so black hearted and corrupt, then why did he put his very spirirt on the line to help Soul? Why did he even revive Gale? Surely a corrupt person would not even think of doing such things.
Danyael chose not to say anything further as he looked away from the building in which Soul, Tamrissa and Sera were in.
There were times to speak and there were times to say nothing. But the images of Soul's tendrils impaling Gale constantly flared around in his mind. The very thought of the warrior doing such things and then brushing it off was almost enough to drive anyone into a frenzy.
And then Sera's insulting statements, which drove Danyael's patience level past the point of irritation. It was a time for one to stay silent. Because if he were to loose all moral and truly speak his mind, he would be the weak one. And everything that Sera said in her insulting lecture would have been proven true instead of false.
If Danyael were really corrupted and blackhearted, then he would not have shown Tamrissa the visions of the future. "The Twilight.". If he wa sso corrupt and cowardly, then he would not have asked Tamrissa to listen about the alliance.
Those very thoughts entered danyael's mind as he pondered on. Yet, with great reluctance, Danyael refused the verbal challenges of his once childhood friend and remained silent. Sometimes it is best to fight whit with whit. And sometimes, it is just best to keep the mouth shut until something was worth saying.
Danyael then appraoches Gale and picks him up in his arms. Walking off a bit further and politely moving throught the Marines, saying "excuse me." and "I'm sorry. pardon me.", he ends up in the center of one of the courtyards near the park
Kneeling in the center of the concrete platform, Danyael lays Gale down and begins to utter a small incantation. A Gateway to Sanctuary bursts throught the skies as the end of the pillar shaped portal crashes into the ground below, creating a thunderous roar upon impact around the Emperor and his Kinjite comrade.
Several white flames rain down from the opening of the gateway in the sky, quietly touching the ground and forming into several figures of Kinjite swordsmen.
"He needs rest.", danyael says as he addresses the female Kinjite infront of him.
With a nod and a smile through her hood, she gestures for the remaining four to take and secure Gale. They pick him up delicately just accurately enough so that he is stable. With a salute and a bow of respect to Danyael, the group of Kinjite become flickers of white flames as they are sucked back into the opening in the sky. The opening clamps itself shut after they entered, returning the small rip in reality to close and mend.
As Danyael looks back down the hill at the park, he sat down on the grass and merely waited for everyone else to get ready.
