Posts: 1675 Jul 31 03 4:49 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	(ooc: Sorry, I can't suppress this urge... People, a desert is a place that is hot and full of sand. A dessert is something that you eat after dinner! Blarg!) Soul Reaver enters the main command centre, and quickly notices the marines rapidly making equipment checks and preparing themselves for battle. It was pretty obvious that something very big was brewing. Soul Reaver then looks over his shoulder, quickly scanning his companions... and then notices Yue lagging behind with a distant expression on her face. Of course... she must have taken Kawanua's leaving the hardest. Perhaps I should speak to her later... Soul Reaver makes a mental note to try and talk to her about her troubles if he gets a chance for a more private moment.

"Watch parrot, I'm the one who got you here, I'm more than sure I could take you back after this is all said and done." She says with a toothy smile. She then looks around at her surrounds.... She is happy that they're not longer in the desert, but instead a rather large city. "Well no more blistering heat...." She says quietly to herself as the ice she had created around her slowly melted off of her. ~To live is to die, to die is to live.~

"Whoa, cool place they have here." Matthias gave a small glance to his partner who uttered those lines. The heat was unsufferable to him but it didn't seem to bother his partner who seemed to be following the daemon pretty closely, probably with impure intents in mind, while being chilled from the cold aura she was letting off. "Filthy Daemon.... They should all die..." was all that was whispered by the masked swordsman before he shot out an arm to grab his partner who was about to bolt to the side. "But-" "NO." "But they have all those cool guns...." "You want me to let you go so you can arm yourself with heavy weaponry?" "Ummm... Yes?" "No." A small dejected sigh came from Damien. His fun would probably be hampered for the rest of the day. One last thought ran through Matthias' mind. I need to talk to Lady Tamrissia alone.... But... will she like what I have to say? A small chill ran down his back as he began to recall the events that lead up to the message how would have to deliver to his 'impromptu employer'.

They feel the anticipation of war as the space marines are all running about, readying themselves for the events to come. Kitharsis seems a bit disturbed. This is not good. If there will be a battle I'll need some pure energy. There isn't enough left for a large scale battle. He says aloud, "I need some time to prepare myself, if there will be a large battle. I do hope there is some time left." The five skeletons seem slightly worried, but still excited about the battle. >----------------------------Meanwhile--------------------------------< "Yeah, I can. But I wasn't really born with my abilities. It's a long story..." Kelvack grins as they enter the command center. He looks more and more excited as the space marines prepare for battle. "I hope there's sandworms..." He says, half a whisper.

Suddenly, he stops and stands completely still as he scans down his surroundings. "Someone here... Following?....Or hunting?", he says as he continues to focus on his environment. Now knowing that something, or someone was near, he kept a keen eye out for anything unusual. A weapons shop caught his eye and thus, he approached it. Inside were a bountiful amount of swords and firearms. But teo specific weapons caught his eyes. Another set of dual handguns. Almost identical to his "Ebony & Ivory". But the names of these guns were "Luce and Ombra" (( Italian for Light and Shadow)). The old man who owned the shop saw that Danyael was interested and approached him. "You like those, eh?", he asks. Danyael gives a simple nod and a "Yes.". The shop owner sheks his head and walks back to his desk with a grunt from his mouth. "Well they're not for sale.", he says with a bit of pride in his voice. Danyael turns around towards the man and looks him down intimidatively."But they look just like mine...", Danyael says as he shows the shop owner Ebony and Ivory. The shop owner's eyes widen at the sight of the almost identical authenticity of the weapons. "Where di you get those?!", the man asks in a panicked voice, startling a few customers. "I bought them in another city..", danyael replies. "And now i want to buy those two.", he adds as he goes into his jacket, preparing to offer a gold chain. But before he could, then man rushes over the desk-top, runs across the room, pikcs up Luce and Ombra and gives them to danyael. "Take them!", he exclaims as he pushes them into Danyael's hands. "Don't you want me to pay?", he asks. but the shop owner lowers and shakes his head rapidly. "No no no no! Just take them!", forcing them into his hands even more. "Well...thanks...", Danyael says as he secures his new dual handguns into his jacket and exits the store, continuing to slowly persue his fellow warriors. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A small distance ahead~~~~~~~~~~~ A shadowy figure silently persues Yue as it watches her from above the many rooftops of the city. The figure is cloaked in a long, sleek, jet black cloak. His face is covered by his heavy hood. "I see you, little Yue...", he says as he continues to follow after Yue. He purposely makes his spiritual presence known to anyone closest to her, just to test their awareness. While following the companions, he weaves his way in and out of the crowd in such a hypnotic motion that no one seems to notice he is there. Like he is invisible to everyone. As he nears Yue, he clenches his fists and hides them beneath his shadowy cloak. Walking by Soul, he glimpses at him with dark purple eyes, then winks at him and continues on further, seeming to be invisibile to everyone else. As he walks past Yue, a deep, cold emotion surrounds her and then vanishes away. but the voice of the stranger seemed to follow his exiting. "I'm watching you.....Yue-chan......", he says as he vanishes away into the crowd. Now unseen to anyone else. I'm going to just catch up form where you all are, right now. too much unnecessary backtracking.} Rhiyou looks over the still-in-construction city with a smirk. "Arhra was right...Terrans are impressive in their crafts.", he thinks out loud to himself. Walking onward through the city He then watches Danyael exit a weapons shop and walks over to him. "I've been looking for you, Danyael. Where have you been?", he asks in a bit of impatience, yet concern. But his mind also focuses on where Arhra was. He remembered the slight issue with Arha and Kelvack. But he also remembered that all that was left on the elevator was a pile of paint that used to cover arhra from kelvack's fireworks. Obviously, the paint had peeled off of Arhra's armor. But the dark eldar was now no where to be found. "Arhra has....departed for now.", he says to Danyael as he walks alongside him. Two women along the streets, outside of a restaurant eye down Rhiyou with interest. They look at his dark, long hair and dark azure blue uniform and cape. But Rhiyou looked forward, keeping focus on the rest of the group. I wonder whom we are going to see in this...place...

Soul Reaver breathes the name with surprise with certainty but surprise. His first reaction is to glance at Danyael, before he scans the crowds for his companion. And then, Kanshisha is right in front of him, winking a deep purple eye before melting back into the crowd. That was Kanshisha... there is no question about it. But what is going on? Why is he here? And where has he been? Hoping that these questions will find answers soon, Soul Reaver uncomfortably continues to follow the assassin.

Posts: 3771 Aug 2 03 1:05 PM Angel of Redemption God-General More My Recent Posts	Ignoring everything going on behind him, Igtenos finally comes to the large set of steps leading up to the command center's front doors. This door is once again guarded by armoured Marines (if you haven't seen the link at the top of this thread, go look at it now ), and one of these approaches Igtenos. The two nod a greeting, and the Marine extends a hand scanner out to Igtenos. Igtenos removes one of his gauntlets, revealing a badly scarred hand which he places palm downward onto the scanner. The scanner whirrs to life, beeps once, and the Marine nods again. He back away, and although he makes no physical signal, he had obvioulsy used his helmet's communicator to speak with someone inside, as the doors unlock with a hollow thump and begin to swing inward. Igtenos replaces his glove and strides into the foyer of the fortress, his steel shod boots clicking across the newely polished floor. He drags his prisioner behind him, paying her no heed. The room is a large room, mostly empty except for various monitors that line the top of the wall, and two staircases that start at either side of the room and lead upward, where they meet in front of an elevator. A figure in full military uniform waits there with his back to the door, and as the companions enter, he turns and regards them with his blaze orange eyes. Seeing the companions, he grins. "You made it! I was begining to think something had happened to you!" Cameron quickly jogs down the left staircase, and after nodding a brief greeting to Igtenos, he approaches the companions. "I'm glad you're here. There's much that we need to discuss." ((OOC: And Cameron enters the story. Soul...there's been a change in plans that I plan on e-mailing you about tonight. ))

The stern warrior gives a small smile and clasps Clutchfiend's hand in his own. "It is good to see you whole and well too, Cameron. I am glad to say that most of us are here." He quickly grows more serious, however. "Although... I fear something may have happened to Kawanua and Sera. They left without warning. Now, what is it that we need to discuss?"

Her face turns whiter than normal as she closes her eyes tightly holding back a very loud scream. Breathing slowly she opens her eyes to see a man jogging down to meet them. She looks at him with no anger or frustration... Only with the look of being in a lot of pain and not being able to speak because of it. On her left leg, a bluish color is trickling down her leg and onto the floor. She is still breathing slowly and awaits for anything else to happen. ~To live is to die, to die is to live.~

"Nice to see you in good health, Cameron." The towering Tirthandara says, as he nods towards the orange eyed one. "I'm sure that I'm not the only one who wishes to know what we will be dealing with here." His five knee high skeletons nod in unison, all looking towards Cameron with their hollow eye sockets. >---------------------------Meanwhile---------------------------------< Kelvack raises an eyebrow at the oragne eyed person addressing the group. "I don't think that we've met, or my memory is going along with my sanity..." He grins. "No matter, I'm Kelvack, whether you knew that or not. Nice to meet you... again?"

However, he raises an eyebrow when he notes the blue blood flowing from her leg. He turns back to Cameron, gesturing at the chained Daemon. "First, however, there is a certain issue of justice to be resolved. I am certain Igtenos will gladly tell you about this young woman. I will allow him to speak before giving my own views on the matter..."

And thanks for getting the others here as well." Cameron shows some concern upon hearing of Kawanua and Sera. "Well, they aren't required to come on this mission. None of you are. I just hope that they are okay." Cameron the turns to Kitharsis as he speaks. "Don't worry, my friend. you'll know soon enough. We've been waiting for you so that we can begin the final briefing." Cameron then glances at Kelvack, a look of suprise crossing his face. "Kelvack? I thought you died!" Upon hearing that Kelvack doesn't remember him, he nods. "Well,wether you remember me or not, it's still good to have you back. We'll need all the good warriors we can get on this missio- " Cameron is cut off by Soul Reaver's comment, and he turns to look at the apparently injured daemon attempting to bandage her wound with her coat, although her chains appeared to be getting in her way. He turns to Igtenos. "Igtenos, report." Igtenos nods. "Yes sir. 5 criminals entered the pick-up point and attempted to hold civilians hostage. We took them, but thisdaemon was involved in the scuffle and killed one herself. I arrested her due to her violation of the Mars Imperial Treaty. It is my opinion that she is a renegade. What she was doing on Mars in the first place is beyond my knowledge." Cameron nods and looks at Natalya again. This time, he locks his gaze on her, his eyes flashing a bright blue color as he attempts to get a mental reading off of the distracted daemon. He then looks up to the balcony, where a armoured Marine stands watching. Cameron gestures, and the marine quickly makes his way down the steps. He stops in front of Cameron and salutes. Cameron salutes baxk and then gestures to Natalya. "Get her to the Apothecarion. She is to be treated as a Class A prisioner..... but be careful with her. Got that?" The marine's amplified voice booms from the speaker on his helmet. "Yes sir!" The marine takes Natalya by the arm, and slowly leads her to the steps. Another marine quickly joins him, and the two help her up the steps so that she doesn't have to apply pressure to her leg. They reach the elevator at the top, and the marine enters with Natalya. The door shuts, the marine inside presses a button, and the elevator makes it's way upward. Back in the lobby, Cameron glances at the rest of the companions. "Don't worry. She'll be taken care of."

"I assume you've discovered something similar to myself - she is clearly a Daemon, but I can sense no actual evil about her. Rather curious. She is either very good at hiding her true intentions or she is truly not a threat." Soul Reaver turns back toward Clutchfiend. "At any rate, I do believe it is time you informed us of our business here. I am as prepared as I ever will be."

"I've been a bit occupied..Sorry about that...", he gives an innocent smile through his red hood. He hears Rhiyou speak of Arhra being missing and he lets out a small sigh of expectation. "Again, eh? Well...one of his...calibur will no doubt come in at the most opportune time... As he continues on he enters the towering fortress in the middle of ther city. His red cloak and hood waves behind him, flapping by the uprooted wind from walking. As he looks at the grey armored marines, he snarls a deep snarl beneath his hood and contoniues onward. "I guess this is a place out of the Empire's sphere of influence....", he says as he continues on. The doors shut behind him and he looks at Cameron trodding down the stairs. "Heh..a little happy for a military man...interesting...", he says to himself as he watches him address Soul and Kelvack. He snarls at hearing Soul speak of justice. "Justice....such a hypocrite....", he says just loud enough for a few of the members to hear him. He looks up at Natalya and frowns, despite the delicate treatment that the marines are giving her on taking her up to the elevator. He loks back at Cameron and steps forward, approaching him. As he looks down at him ((ooc: danyael is tall..so mwaahh.... )) he formally, yet in a stern manner, addresses the soldier. "....Time is of the essence..." he knew that Cameron would not remember him. He knew that he wouldn't remember when he saved the marine's life ((ooc: see w.o.d in the dark legion chase with the carriage)) And he knew that it would be possible that he would be viewed as a hostile. But I did lose the ability to concentrate on one thing for more than two seconds, as seen below in my very tiny post. And it's all Trent Reznor's fault. )) A Class A prisoner Tamrissa mumbles to herself as she crosses her arms, eyes on Cameron. Guilty before proven guilty. She pushes her hood back moodily and looks around the Marines fortress, eyeing the armored soldiers coolly. Her eyes go back to their host as Soul asks him why they are here. Cameron has been an ally for quite awhile, but she has never liked many of the methods that the marines usedperhaps it is just a subconscious reaction to the many rides on metal enclosures before they got to where they were going.
