Pulsing music echoed throughout the dance club, people dressed in black writhed against each other to the beat of the music. The moniters on the wall flashed various scenes from movies featuring vampires and creatures of the night. The atmosphere suggest this place was one of the higher-quality goth club. In the tables section, several people were seated, the majority facing a lone figure at the table.
A quiet but lively discussion was raging between the group of people at the table while the loner sat impassively, observing. Finally the loner spoke, his voice cutting through the discussion, silencing everyone at the table. "I see.... So the whole point of your endeavour to this club was...?" One of the member of the group spoke up, his black hair slick with gel and pale face. "To meet one of the Lonely Ones. To live forever, in beauty and power. To meet those who must forever walk in the dark."
An amused smirk crossed the face of the loner and he leaned forward, his hand steepling against each other in a manner not unlike a certain Gendo Ikari. The smirk dropped and he gave another look to the group behind dark shades. "Drop the posing shit. In short and simple terms, you wish to meet vampires. I'm going to educate you in reality. Let me ask you this... Do you think you would a real vampire would lurk in a place like this? The answer is no. What you believe in is nothing more than a fantasy, brought on by reading these silly books brought on in the age of Anne Rice and others. For instance.... see that man?"
The loner pointed to a dark dressed indivual lurking in the dark, against the wall on the other side of the club. "See how he dress? The black? The pale appearance and black lips? Let me tell you something. He is completely 100% human. No one here in this club is a vampire. So drop your silly dreams of becoming a vampire. The reality of being a vampire is nothing to what you wish it to be. Besides... You all are more likely to become food to them than one of them."
This comment sparked a few of the group to jump up to their feet, preparing to launch themselves at the loner, but that thought dies a quick death as the loner raised a hand. The loner continued, "However.... I'm not entirely unsympathetic to your cause. I know what it's like to struggle for something only to see it crumble to dust simply because of the actions of others. So I'll grant you your wish. You'll become one of the vampire you've always desired to be, without any of the silly constraints the other vampires would place on you. I know this offer sound suspcious, considering I'm not a vampire.... but then again.... I'm not human, but you must had doubts about my humanity. That is why you sought me out here, correct?" Not bothering to wait for a response, the loner continued on. "However, there is a price. But it is lower than what you would expect it to be. All I ask for in return is a single unrestricted favor to be called in the future. Perhaps I'll ask you to acquire something for me. Perhaps I'll ask you to destroy something for me. But I won't ask you to do anything you might object to unless you accept. All I need is a verbal agreement. Yes or no. Do not worry... Unlike certain.... people, I always keep my word."
With a flick of his wrist, the stranger tossed a single business card with an address on it toward the group. The card landed neatly in front of them, face upward. "If you agree, the power you seek is located there. Arrangements have been made and you will not be harmed. Now leave me." Silently, the group grabbed the card and made their way out of the club.
The loner waited for a moment in silence at the empty table then pulled out a small cell phone. Pushing a single button he spoke into it.
"You have a small group of people heading your way. The wish for the usual treatment."
Any special additions?"Hmmm... no. I like this group. Give them what they want."
No nosfratetu appearnce? No Malekvinch insanity?"No. I know. You don't like the goths as much as I do but you needen't begrudge them thier dreams."
You're entirely too sympathetic to them."You misunderstand me. A entire 'culture' that can make interesting music can't be that all unredeemable."
*snicker* All right, I'll give them what they want."One more thing... How's is both of your projects coming along?"
Field testing on the frame have been completed and Anibus is performing beyond current expecations."I see... and the other?"
Progress is moving ahead of schedule and we are currently 92% complete. From prelimnary findings, Merkbah will be significantly more powerful that the simulations that you provided."Excellent... Once again, your usual quality on your works never cease to amaze me."
Flatterer..."I miss you, you know?"
I know. *beep* Ah, that must be the new test group you sent me. I better go and have some fun."Enjoy yourself."
With a deft push of the button, the loner put away the cell phone. With a smile the loner spoke to himself, "I love that woman...." With a small smirk, the loner flicked away a stray lock of grey hair out of his black eyes and continued to sit back, listening to the music. "Tamrissia..... Soon... You'll be pleasantly surprised with what I'm going to give you...." With a small chuckle, the loner continued to sit alone at the darkened table.
ooc: This was freaking long.... I'm going to sleep now.
