Danyael lets out a sigh as Soul hotly debates with Arhra.
"Soul. Shut up." is all he could say all the while remaining as calm and cynical as ever. Obviously, everyone was jumpy from the impending combat high. And this show of blatant, verbal dueling was not the best of ideas to choose for in such times. All Danyael really wanted to do was get away from all this. Or even worse, to go ballistic on everyone in the
strike force. Holding back from such actions took far too much mental stability. And Cameron and Tamrissa's absence were making matters worse.
Arhra looks down at the crow, knowing that soon enough, they'll see him and act accordingly. Hopefuly an intelligent tactic would come up this time instead of rushing in at him full force with guns ablaze. As the dark eldar listens to Soul, he can't help but chuckle at the dark warriors insults.
"heh heh. I see the hypocrite decides to speak once again. I know i'm superior. And you are more than welcome to prove me right over and over again, child. Or perhaps you would like to draw that bread knife of a weapon sheathed on your hide. I'm here by request, boy. Not by choice. I owe lord Kartzeh a favor and that should be good enough for you. It is already evident to me that several of you have already plunged into darkness.
What makes you so sure that you'll survive in the eye? You among most whom deems himself worthy of "issuing justice" to the unjust when you yourself are tainted with far too many sins to even fathom such a belief. I already know my darkness. Obviously you are ignorant enough not to see how much of a hypocrite yours has made you into. but if you are so convinced that i dont' belong here, then you are more than welcome to force me to leave." The dark eldar pops his neck on both sides. Then onto his knuckles. He knew of the darkness that Soul's companions would be stepping into. And it was all too aware that Soul himself had plunged himself in deeper than what he realised. They were all on a whole new battle field: One that Arhra was most experienced at.
"Why do you have to be so insulting all the time?! I dont' remember any of us ever making threats against you!" Sera boldy snarls at Ahra. The Dark Eldar turns to the young, female nephilim and corsses his arms.
"Because you're all weak." he adds with a deviant grin. Danyael's body surged with an ominous force as the building quakes rappidly, just delicately keeping the structure from collapsing completely. As he stands from his seat, he looks over to Rhiyou. "Lord Kartzeh, does he always act like this?" he asks, already knowing the answer.
"Ho ho, boy. Don't challenge what you can't defeat. And the only one that can defeat me is Kartzeh." Arhra taunts with a grin.
Sera lets out a femmenine (sp.?) growl, yet remains seated. She wanted to completely lash out at Arhra, but kept herslef back as she knew that the dark eldar must have some sort of plan up his sleeve. "Arhra, was it?" Danyael asks. "Most of this group isn't so fond of your presence. But it's more than likely not because of your history. It is because of your decorum. It's ok to not like a person. or even to have disgust for someone being weak. But it's best not to show such anger igniting gestures to people.
I mean...i don't like Soul. I think he's a hypocrite and a jackass. But i also respect his ability to deal with his sins. He has beared far too many crosses to be judged. And he keeps on going. And for that, he has not only gained my faith, but my...trust... in him as well.
Infact, i'm not very fond of Tamrissa either. But she, like the rest of us, has dealt her set of blows to herself. And she still keeps going on livivng her life. Because she knows that there is something greater than herslef that is worth protecting.
So you see, there is darkness in all of us. Some more or less than others. But darkness none the less. And if we acknowledge this darkness and let it be embraced our better attributes, then there is always strength in our flaws. So let's get along, alright?"
Danyael's words were as sincere as he would ever be. He still struggled greatly with his statement. But everyone else seemed to ahve been punching threats and insults at Arhra, which was more than likely, exactly what the dark eldar was testing them for. Sera grabs hold of Danyael's hand, clenmching it gently. "Kanny..." Danyael turns his head to see Sera from the corner of his eye and nods to her. "I'm fine..."
Arhra nods in recognition to danyael's words and crosses his arms, leanign against the balcony wall.
"Hmmm... a justv statement, boy. Very well then. your tests are over. Obviously, you all have much to learn about how to react when under the temptation of aggression. But i guess it is not my test to give you anymore." Having nothing more to say, he walks past Soul, giving him a harsh, but playful double pat on his shoulder. Them with a yawn, he sits down next to Kartzeh, awaiting for whomever was to be waited for to arrive.
Danyael let out a sigh of relief at how the negotiations wnet. But his small peaceful break was suddenly interrupted as a burning, iridescent light flares around the room. As the light fades away, all time seems to ahve stopped and everything apeared to be red. "...Can you ever just find something better to do?", Danyael sneers as he knows all too well whom was behind all of this.
"What? It's not like i'm hurting anyone, yet." Duriel's voice echoes around the room in resounding bursts. "Yet?" Danyael asks in referance to Duriel's pronouncing taunt.
"Certainly!" the gate lord adds as he materialises infront of Danyael. His massive wings did not seem to be visible. But his ever the perfect body was more than enough of a sight to see.
"Very good work on your maturity, i must add... A bit wimpish, but it got the job done." he compliments as he takes a seat next to danyael, crossing one leg over the other.
"Why are you here, Duriel?"
"Oh my. Straight to the point as always." "I'll not ask you again.." [/b][/u][/i]"Can't i just pay my favorite prize a visit every once in a while?"[/i][/u][/b] "No.."
The Gate Lord laughs at danyael's reply and stands.
"Well, i'm here to let you know a bit of good news." "And what's that?"
"That one of your group is going to die." "You call that good news?"
"Oh yes. Because once he is executed, your darkness will overtake you completely. Making you all mine for the claiming." "Who's going to die, Duriel?"
Duriel looks over to the group of male warriors to Danyael's right side, as he was on the far left.
"Him." the gate lord said as he pointed with an upward nod towards the group of male warriors. The area around them was blurred and the reality around them corroded. There were also more men companions than women. Obviously it was a man that Duriel was pointing to. But which one was it. Who could it have been that Duriel was pointing to? With the question in mind, Duriel vanishes in an eruption of dimensional flame and all time returns to normal again. Only a single instant in time had passed by from the beginning to the end of their conversation. Now the question looms around Danyael's mind. Who was the one that Duriel was pointing to?
"Who?"
But then again, there was a reflective mirror on the side of where his other companions were seated. In this mirror was Danyael's reflection of Kanshisha. Surely Duriel could not be talking about Kanshisha. Because Kanshisha was Danyael. Was Danyael that one that was going to die? Who? Who is the one? Who?!
