Posts: 3771 Mar 23 05 2:17 PM Angel of Redemption God-General More My Recent Posts	Cameron knows that there will be no time for Kitharsis to rest or meditate anywhere, since the Rhinos are only minutes away from their destination. He then has an idea. "Soul, hold on a minute. I have am idea." Cameron turns to Kalana, who is sitting between Garr and Kari. "Kalana, Kitharsis needs to rest, but we have no time. Can you help?" Kalana looks up at Cameron, and then looks back down, deep in thought. She then looks back up and nods. "Sure! I can help. I'll just need to go over there." Cameron smiles back and returns the nod. As Kalana stands up, Cameron contacts Soul again. "Soul, I'm sending Kalana over. She can help Kitharsis, so tell him to stay put. I'll need you to open the roof hatch so that she can get in." Cameron then joins Kalana under the roof hatch of the Rhino. They embrace breifly, and then Kalana opens the roof hatch and climbs out onto the roof of the Rhino. Cameron closes the hatch behind her. Kalana looks ahead of her to the other Rhino, and then gets a running start and jumps off her Rhino. She expends xome energy to fly over to the other Rhino, and lands on it's roof. She then walks over to the hatch and taps on it, waiting for Soul to open it. "Please end this before it ends us." cLuTcHFieND Administrator of the Administorum

She will be here any moment." Soul Reaver is already heading over to the hatch when Kalana knocks on it. Soul Reaver grips the handles of the damaged hatch and strains to open it - with a grunt from Soul Reaver and an ugly screech of metal, it finally gives in and opens. Soul Reaver pushes the unlocked hatch open, and looks up at Kalana. "Welcome." He then steps aside to give her enough room to climb into the Rhino.

Kalana then makes her way over to Kitharsis. "Kitharsis, I think I can provide you with at least 5 hours of meditation. But just a fair warning... this may be a little disorienting at first." Kalana extends both hands towards Kitharsis. She then looks around at the others. "You guys may want to cover your eyes or turn away." Kalana turns back to Kitharsis, and there is a blinding flash. When the light levels return to normal, Kitharsis seems to have moved. Kalana looks at him inquisitively. "Did that help?" Eager to see what she is going to do, he waits as the bright flash fills the Rhino. He looks around, feeling no different. Until he notices that no one else is moving, not even his skeletons. "What happened?" He jumps to his feet. "Everyone! Wake up! What is..." He slowly sits back down again, realizing what had happened. There wasn't even any turbulence. Everything was so still it was unnerving. I suppose I am just wasting time worrying... Closing his eyes, he focuses on the energy flowing through him. The manifestation of the white purifying object was easier than before, perhaps all of his trying to form it was paying off. The pure energy starts to flow through his body again, pushing the darkness out into the corners of his mind. He meditates for the full 5 hours. "Did that help?" Someone says. Startled, he springs to his feet quickly and assumes a fighting stance, fists raised and tattoos glowing with red energy. Looking around, he quickly notices his error, and his tattoos fade back to their normal color. "I am very sorry about that, you startled me. And yes, your technique helped tremendously. It would be amazing if you could do that for us during a battle, we would truly be unstoppable."

But that... technique... takes a lot out of me." Kalana sits down in an empty seat, visibly shaken. "I just need... a minute... to catch my breath." Meanwhile, Cameron once again pokes his head out of the open roof hatch of his Rhino. He sees that the Rhinos are now headed down a ramp towards what looks to be a huge gathering of Marines. These marines seem to have set up a temporary base camp in front of a large makeshift wall of rubble. Cameron sends a message to the other companions. "Prepare yourselves, guys. "I am already as prepared as I can be." Shifting in his seat, he turns to look at Kalana. "It seems we merely traded one companion's exhaustion for anothers. Can I be of any help, m'lady?"

Save your energy for when we need it." Meanwhile, the two Rhinos come to a stop in with the gathering of marines. The rear ramps immedeately open up, letting the companions out. Cameron jumps off the top of his Rhino and walks towards the apparent leader of this outpost. "Marine, what's the status here?" The marine sargeant salutes and speaks quickly. "All set. We're ready to begin our assault on this area. We should be able to buy your group all the time you need to set up." Cameron nods, and glances back to the Rhinos. He quickly sends another mental message. "When you are all ready, join me at the top of this wall. We have to move kinda fast here." Cameron turns and quickly picks his way up the side of the wall of rubble. As he reaches the top, he begins to scan his surroundings. His feet scuff the dirt ground as he makes his way over to the pile of rubble Clutchfiend is standing on. He climbs up with little effort, nods an acknowledgement to his companion, then turns around and extends his hand to Natalya, offering her help should she want it.

He must be prepared for what was coming up, he must keep ahold of the demon souls. he takes a deep breath to keep himself calm and steps out of the back of the rhino, making sure that his katana is still easily removed from its scabbard, and he lets it drop be. Sepher starts to head towards the spot were they are supposed to meet ~If I must die, I will encounter darkness as a bride, and hug it in mine arms"~

She can feel how every step taken towards entering the Eye of Terror is taking her towards a frightening unknown. She leans on her staff on the way towards the wall, and when Soul Reaver reaches out his hand towards her she gratefully accepts it. With his help, she is soon standing on the wall as well. "So... now what?"

He exits the rhino, his two mage skeletons shuffle behind him, anticipating something fun about to happen. Kitharsis's tattoos pulse red for a moment, he remembers how he felt when he was running on empty. Compared to how he feels now, its as if he was a weak baby, rather than the colosous, the strong proud Tirthandara, that he is now. He cannot help but crack a smile. The group of three reaches the top of the wall. Kith kneels down, feeling like a big target and waits for Cameron's orders.

Posts: 739 Apr 2 05 5:27 PM Seraphim Captain More My Recent Posts	A short distance away from the evac point, a brillant white portal all of a sudden appears. The portal hovers for a second, before out steps...an old man. He appears to be a man in his mid 70's to 80's. He is wearing on old worn brown cloak that covers everything but his mouth and chin, which is covered with gray stubble. An old, weathered hand is sticking out of the folds of the cloak, and holds a gnarled wooden walking stick within its weak grasp. The man gazes around and begins walking in the direction the Rhino's are. After about 15 minutes, the old man nears the stopped Rhino's and the wall of rubble. He immediately begins heading up the rubble towards the group of warriors. He stops in front of Clutchfiend. "Cameron Aileron...it has been too long old friend." OOC "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End" Revelations 21:6 "Damn the brocolli, damn you, and damn the Wright brothers!" - Stewie (from Family Guy)

It is a familiar figure to some. One that brought dread and fear to many. It is the Methuslah Deravon. He seems...different though. He longer bears a scowl on his face like he did before he left. He glances around and begins to head towards the evacuation zone. As he is walking a voice can be heard in his head. Why are you doing this? Do you think they will accept you back. You remember how you treated them before your departure. I imagine most of them were glad to watch you leave. The vampire simply grimaces for a second and continues walking Silence you, that wasn't me that they knew, it was you! I can not believe I allowed you to take control so many years ago. Now I must make up for my horrible sins. Oh please, do you think that if you save humanity God will forgive you? You are living a dream you fool! Let me take over and we can have some serious fun. Never...I'll never let you control me ever again!!! At this point, he finally arrives at the pile of rubble, but waits at the bottom, as if waiting for a signal or something. We never paid any heed to the ancient prophecies. Like fools, we clung to the old hatreds and fought as we had for generations ---until the day the sky rained fire and a new enemy came upon us. We stand now upon the brink of destruction. For the Reign of Chaos has come at last...

He follows the rest of the group up to the wall and takes one more step along this road that he has been dragged along. "And I still don't even know what they wanted to question Sepher and I. Posts: 3771 Apr 4 05 9:17 PM Angel of Redemption God-General More My Recent Posts	As everyone reaches the top of the wall of rubble and looks over, a strange installation comes into view. Beyond the wall of rubble lies another block of warehouses. Some of these seem to be destroyed, while others are still standing. The installation is beyond that. A huge titanium wall with barbed wire runs as far as the eye can see beyond the warehouses. Beyond the wall are a few buildings, and then three rows of extremely tall skinny towers, which also run as far as the eye can see in either direction. Beyond that is a pit that is 20 miles across, and just as wide. The pit seems bottomless... one looking into it might reach the conclusion that it runs straight into the planet's core. Suspended by cables and iron support beams in the center of this pit are three circular titanium platforms. They look flat, and don't appear to be anything other then metal, but those who can detect energy levels will sense a huge power surge coming from these three platforms. No one is around the platforms or the buildings inside of the wall, but the warehouses are teeming with cultists patrolling around, and it is hard to tell how many more might be inside of them. Cameron surveys the scene quietly. "There. The polar stablizers. That's where we'll open the Eye from. But first, we have to break through those cultists." Cameron has just finished saying this when an old man reaches the top of the wall of rubble and greets him by name. Cameron looks over at the man, but doesn't recognize him. His eyes glow blue as he tries to check the newcomer's mind, but he finds nothing. He does, however, detect the gate that was open, as well as another more familiar presence behind him. Glancing down at the bottom of the wall and seeing Devaron, he nods in his direction before turning back to the old man. "Well, you seem to know me, but I don't recall meeting you before." In fact we traveled together for a while...ring any bells?" The old man can sense that Clutch has no idea what he means. sigh "I guess I must show you." At this, the old man stands straight upand turns around, his back to Clutchfiend. In the blink of an eye, the old man is no more. In his place stands a tall, armored figure. His armor is the color of pure, undriven snow, with a blue silk tabard placed over top. There is strange silver writing on the front. It appears to be some kind of ancient language. He also wears a helmet that is of the same color and bears whats appears to be angellic wings on the sides. Nothing can be seen through the eye slits. A shining silver scabbard hangs from his waist, but there is no sword within it. He turns and somehow Clutchfiend immediately recognizes him as the Seraphim, Jharm. "We have returned to you...in this time of need." Posts: 1675 Apr 5 05 6:42 PM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	Soul Reaver does not look away from the scene in front of him when Cameron explains what they will have to do. All he does is heft Darkstar further up to demonstrate his readiness. "It will be my pleasure." Just after he speaks, an old man appears before Cameron, and after a brief exchange, transforms himself. Although he looks physically somehwat different, this individual is obviously Jharm. Soul Reaver also detects Deravon nearby - he does not even have to turn around to sense him. "Welcome back Jharm. You have indeed returned at an opportune time. It seems there will soon be battle that we could use your help with." He then turns to look down at Deravon. The look he gives him is unreadable - neither hostile nor welcoming. In truth, Soul Reaver feels an upsurge in aggression - Deravon is a vampire, and has done little to inspire confidence in his character in the past. But Soul Reaver also realises his reaction is unnatural, and induced by his damned sword... and at present, if Blooddrinker was the source of an emotion, it was likely that it was the wrong thing to be feeling. "And I see you have returned with him. I thus assume Jharm has not found your personality wanting. The additional manpower will be welcome. Even so, I shall be keeping my eyes on you." Soul Reaver then turns back to Cameron. "So what lies ahead of us? How will be enter the Eye from here?"

The place is teeming with cultists, but one thing draws his attention very quickly. The things Cameron identifies as stabilizers hold a great amount of energy. He shakes his head, as if trying to clear his eyes from staring at the sun for too long. "Those, stablizers you speak of Cameron, they hold a great amount of energy in them. Might I ask what their purpose is?" Kitharsis had not turned away from the landscape below to ask the question, he was still surveying everything, preparing for the entry into this place.
