As the holy light surrounds Jharm, the wraiths under him wail in pain. They are almost completely blinded, and they begin to retreat towards the two gates on the far end, shielding their eyes against nothing, the damage already done. A few wraiths run into each other and become entangled. They fall to the ground and struggle to free themselves from the confusion.
Xeno's dagger attack does little to the front of the wraith, but it does cut through the wraith's spinal cord. Partially paralyzed, the crippled wraith simply stands in front of Xeno, struggling to bring it's hands up to attack.
Two of the three wraiths attacking Kitharsis are hit full on by the spikes surrounding him and are ripped to bone shards and shrapnel by the resulting explosion. The third wraith is thrown over Kitharsis's shoulder and drops it's sword, but it realises what is happening just in time to perform an unnatural acrobatic maneuver and twist out of the way of the last spike. Landing on it's feet, the wraith lunges at Kith's exposed back with it's claws extended, intending to perform a vicious downward slash.
As Kelvack lands in front of another group of wraiths and charges them, the wraiths react accordingly. Two of them charge forward with their glowing blades raised, planning on attempting to parry Kelvack's blows and counter attack. The other two leap into the air and launch glowing red bolts of magic in his direction.
The wraiths surrounding Soul Reaver and Deravon are about to charge the vampire when they notice the energy building within Soul Reaver. They immedeately refocus on their original target, but two are cut down by Diego's sniper fire before they could act. The third manages to duck just in time and the bullet misses him completely. Distracted, the remaining wraiths completely forget about Deravon, so the ducking wraith is caught completely off guard when Deravon grabs it and throws it into the other three wraiths. They all topple over in a heap, but immedeately begin to get back up, eyeing Soul Reaver with a growing sense of dread. Soul Reaver will not have much time.
Cameron is just getting ready to charge into the three wraiths blocking the next warp gate when Faidth suddenly leaps into action. Cameron's eyes widen as he watches the events unfold. Faidth dives into two of the wraiths, impaling them with her red-hot weapons, and knocking them backwards towards the warp gate. But the wraiths sense where their momentum is taking them. They grab both of Faidth's arms and use magic to propel them backwards even faster, intent on dragging Faidth back into the warp with them. Cameron realises immedeately that Faidth probably has no experience with warp gates or the Warp, and if she is pulled into the gate, she will probably never come back out alive. He reacts quickly.
Concentrating as he runs forward, Cameron changes his elemental affinity from fire to earth. As he gets within 10 meters of the gate, he stops and slams his fist into the ground. A whirlwind of green energy surrounds him, and huge vines sprout from the ground, entangling the wraiths and Faidth and stopping their momentum. The vines pull Faidth away from the wraiths and set her off to one side. By this time, Cameron has already fallen back to his fire affinity, and with a switf motion, he launches a bolt of flame at the vines. They combust immedeately, and the wraiths are unable to escape as the flames overtake them. Within seconds, there is nothing left but ash.
Without pausing, Cameron powers up his psychic prescense and prepares to close the second gate. But this leaves him vulnrable, and there is still one wraith left, approaching him from the side.
