Posts: 274 Mar 3 06 1:17 AM Sergeant More My Recent Posts	Diego is silent throughout Clutchfiends speech and all the other supportive chatter of the group joining the fight against the Eye. He is faced with a tough decision, having only been brought in for a routine questioning he had now fought Cultists in droves, Warp Beasts in herds, Warp Wraiths uncountable and several Warp Mages. In the space of a day he had experianced more excitement and seen more things he had never seen before that he had since he could remember. 'Well. your blood did get rushing, and these guns haven't had such a workout for a long time... but am I ready to die? For people I don't even know? For a selfless cause?' His mind tumbles with the thoughts. Diego walks up to Clutchfiend, looks at him squarely and states flatly, " We will talk about payment afterwards." He strides over the the Thunderhawk destined for the Eye and leaps aboard. He sighs heavily and turns his back to Cadia and takes a seat next to Kitharsis and kicks out his legs along the seats beside him. "Ford?" "Yes." "What is this fish doing in my ear?"

The Ancient forest where they will raise their soon to be offspring. "Well, its been fun. take it easy" Alex exclaims as he put his hand on the small of Mystara's back, leading her to the shuttle away from the battle. She does not speak, but raises one of her elegant hands and waves, looking into the other shuttle to see Fei standing there with his arms crossed and head down. Fei nods to the 2 as they get on the other thunderhawk. "heh, Alex, you better take care of her." He speaks quietly before crossing 1 leg over the other as he leans against the wall. Growing impatient, he pushes himself off the wall and leans out the door, holding onto its frame as he stretches forward. He Yells over the roar of the engines of the thunderhawk to the others standing outside. "Will you slow asses hurry it up? Or do I have to hold your hands and help you in? Lets get a move on and get to the killing. Thats right, I'm talking to you Soul, Clutch, Natalya, and whatever your name is." Fei points to Faidth last, not remembering her name and with a flick of his wrist he attempts to hurry the others aboard before standing back against the wall his arms crossed, head down, and 1 boot crossing over the other. I being Poor have only my dreams And I have spread my dreams under your feet. So Tread Lightly, Because you Tread on my Dreams.

"I need to regain my selfworth before anything... But," she says as she looks up at Soul Reaver. "I do think I'm starting to get that back. I need to put my past behind me and keep it there if I'm going to do anything useful." She pauses for a moment before starting to speak again. "My next question for you Master Reaver is how do I vanquish the enemy from within?" She asks him catching up with him. ~To live is to die, to die is to live.~

Posts: 1675 Mar 5 06 4:23 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	Soul Reaver is still striding towards the Thunderhawk when Natalya catches up to him and asks him how to defeat the enemy from within. He slows his walk as he answers. "You must have a reason to live, and to fight, and to win." He begins to get a distant look in his eyes. He hesitates before continuing, and his voice sounds hollow... almost bitter. "As an immortal, I do not dedicate myself to transient things. Everything and everyone dies. People, nations, worlds and even Planes can crumble. The only things I have found that are worth dedicating myself to are concepts that fundamentally keep the multiverse from plunging into darkness. Those concepts are honour and justice - concepts that must be defended lest all become worse than nothingness..." His voice trails off. Although Soul Reaver is clearly speaking of something that has long been very close to his heart, there is an undercurrent of bitterness that suggests that all is not as it should be - as if he were not himself completely convinced of what he was saying. AS he is just about to enter the Thunderhawk, Soul Reaver pauses and turns around, looking at a figure in the distance. He has sensed Xeno approaching, and has now spotted him. He contacts Cameron. Cameron, we have an intruder approaching. And he seems very angry.

He is slightly suprised by her statement and subsequent offer, but he knows that it would be folly to turn any extra assistance away right now. Besides, Faidth had more then proved herself able to handle herself in combat against the wraiths. "Okay then. We'll need to get you some new clothes, obviously, but that can be taken care of on the Revenant. For now, follow Kitharsis to that ship over there." Cameron gestures to Kitharsis, who is in the process of boarding the Thunderhawk that will take the companions to the Revenant. He then walks away from Faidth, and almost runs into Karyl, who had finally caught up with the group. He seems happy enough despite the impending mission. "Hey dude. Need me to help with anything?" Cameron can't help but notice that Karyl isn't looking at Cameron as he speaks, but is letting his gaze follow Faidth to the Thunderhawk instead. "I know what you want, so go do it. Make sure she gets on board alright." Karyl grins and begins walking away. "Aye aye, captian!" Cameron surveys the rest of the companions, nodding at Sypher, Jharm, Deravon, Diego, and Fei as they pass. He sidelooks Natalya as she pledges her services. "Well, Natalya, technically you're still under Soul Reaver's jurisdiction and don't really have much say in the matter. But thank you for choosing to come willingly. It will be remembered." Cameron's attention is immedeately drawn by Soul Reaver's indication that someone is approaching. This follows immedeately by radio chatter over his headset; the individual is airborne and is being rather careless on his approach. He has already been spotted by the two circling Thunderhawks. Cameron reaches out with his mind and detects a familiar precense. "It's him again..." Without a word, Cameron takes to the air. He stops directly in front of Xeno. "You. You're a mercenary, correct? And you've been following us for a ling time now." Cameron shakes his head. "I don't know who you are or were working for, and I don't care. Whatever they paid you, I can double it if you assist us." Cameron glances back down at the Thunderhawks. "Honestly, you're really limited on options here. Either except my offer and come with us, or we'll simply take you back into custody now. Your choice." She says to him with a worried look on her face. "I understand what you have said with having meaning to live, although I am unsure of what meaning I have, I'm sure I can find meaning.... Infact I do have meaning... I can wipe my hands clean of the innocent blood smeared all over them." She says to him as she continues to follow him to the Thunderhawk. "I feel as if I'm already making some progress." She says with a smile. "Everyone has their own code and way of doing things, I just hope that I can be a loyal and steady student under your guidence." She says to him. Natalya looks over at Cameron and nods her head in appreciation. "Thank you." She says to him as she follows Soul Reaver. ~To live is to die, to die is to live.~

We'll need to get you some new clothes, obviously, but that can be taken care of on the Revenant. For now, follow Kitharsis to that ship over there." Faidth nods and follows the Kitharsis, the mohawk man, into the ship. She pulls the tattered blanket closer around her, suddenly painfully aware of how dishevelled and indecent she must appear. She watches as Kitharsis takes his seat and chances a smile, slightly embarassed by her awkward appearance. She pauses by his seat, only momentarily. Softly, she addresses him, her eyes cast downward in shame. "Thank you again. For your assistance." Still with her head down, she walks quickly to a seat in the back, suddenly aware that someone is tailing her quite fervently. She seats herself in the back of the transport, casting her eyes upward at her pursuer.

Posts: 1675 Mar 8 06 4:39 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	Soul Reaver downplays Natalya's concern. "I simply have a lot on my mind. Some past events have... made me feel less focussed than usual." However, Natalya's mentioning of her wish to be his student still seems to pain him. His response is subdued. "A pupil. I only hope that I can be a good Master this time." He walks into the Thunderhawk, brushing past Faidth, Kitharsis and Fei before settling beside another empty seat. Clearly, he expects Natalya to join him.

She takes the seat next to him and speaks again. "I'm sure you'll be a fine Master I just hope I can be a proper pupil to you." She says to him. "I guess we have our own doubts about yourselves." "It was nothing, you would have done the same for me." He gives a half smile, still with a lot on his mind. >---------------------------------Meanwhile---------------------------< Kelvack smiles as Devaron tells him the explosion was no big deal. He was glowing with white energy and he had the innocent face of an altar boy. "I believe that it is time to dispense with the holiness... eh?" He laughs quietly to himself, before exploding in different shades of color. As the smoke clears he looks like a normal person, brown hair althought spiky, brown eyes, and his usual shirtless, armwrapped, decorated pants wearing body. "Much better!" He exclaims, as he walks over and hops into the Thunderhawk where everyone else was. No way would he miss travelling into The Eye.

Posts: 3771 Apr 7 06 2:22 AM Angel of Redemption God-General More My Recent Posts	Cameron wastes no further time talking to Xeno. He simply nods in agreement and turns away. Walking back towards the Thunderhawks, he notices that the other group has arrived. Kalana, Garr, Mary, Kari, and a sqad of marines have finished their trek across the other half of the stablizer and are now standing in between the two ships. Cameron marches towards them, and as he does, he takes note of a third Thunderhawk coming to a halt just behind the first two. It does not land, but hovers off of the surface of the stablizer. THe bomb doors open, and a strange missle shaped craft and a load of metal framework are lowered down. The payload is kept stable by a group of jump pack equipped assault marines who hover around it. As it lowers, three Techmarines can be seen standing on top of it and riding down with it. Cameron turns from this scene and regards Kalana and the other elementals. "Were there wraiths on your end?" Kalana nods. "Yes there were, but it wasn't anything we couldn't take care of on our own." Cameron nods, and turns his attention to Mary. "Our ride's here. Are you ready?" Mary nods nonchalantly. "As ready as I'm gonna get, I guess. Where's Karyl?" Cameron gestures at the Thunderhawk to his right. Mary sighs. "Great... in there causing trouble, I'll bet." Garr chuckles. "Do not worry, Mary. I will keep Karyl from getting into any major trouble." Mary nods and turns back to Cameron. "So where do I need to go?" Cameron points at the group of Techmarines and assault marines, who are now in the process of assembling the metal scaffolding that came down with the small craft. Mary begins to walk in that direction. Cameron directs the others to the Thunderhawk on his right. "This one will take you guys to the Revenant. See you in the Eye." The other elementals all board the Thunderhawk. Kalana and Cameron embrace quickly, and then she does the same. Cameron takes a quick look back to see what the others are doing. He watches as Xeno boards the Thunderhawk on the right. He then watches as Yue and Chris board the other Thunderhawk with Kaworu, Shemba, and Sera. He waits as everyone else boards their respective Thunderhawks, and then turns and walks towards the Techmarines. As he passes between the cockpits of the two transports, he gives both pilots a signal, and the Thunderhawks lift off and head in different directions. One heads back towards the far distant command center, and the other circles a few times before blasting out of the planet's manufactured atmosphere. Those in this Thunderhawk, the ones headed for the Eye, are greeted with an incredible sight through the cockpit. The planet Cadia is surrounded by warships of all sizes. There are far too many to count. They all have the standards of the various Space Marine chapters. Every chapter is represented. The Thunderhawk quickly approaches one of the ships, recognizable as the Revenant from before, and docks. The companions are escorted back to the bridge, where they are once again greeted by Admiral Benden. The view before them is impressive. Warships hang in the sky all around them, and the Eye of Terror is directly in front of them. Benden addresses the companions. "We're waiting on Aileron. He has some plan to open a gate through the Eye for us." Back on Cadia, the Techmarines have almost completed the scaffolding. The rocket-shaped craft is sitting next to it, and Cameron and Mary stand by, waiting for their signal. Cameron looks up at the Eye of Terror above them, and Mary follows his gaze. "Are you sure this is going to work?" Cameron is silent for a moment before speaking. "It better. Everything is riding on this." I can't remember how this got started. Posts: 1675 Apr 7 06 3:40 AM The Immortal Brigadier General More My Recent Posts	Soul Reaver sits alongside the companions, arms crossed and face stern as the Thunderhawk bucks and then launches itself off the surface of Cadia. His eyes travel over the group he is with. Old faces, new faces... always, his surroundings were in motion, forming a blurred chain of memory linked to a distant, hazy past. He looks over at Natalya, her bluish flesh unnaturally cold, sending small clouds of condensed water vapour gently drifting towards the ground. Could anything be made better by him teaching a student? Or would this be the beginning of some new folly? His gaze wanders across each of the companions in turn. He got a bad feeling looking them over - as though they were all heading into something far more serious than they fully understood. What if Cameron was sending them into a death-trap? Soul Reaver knew that even if that were the case, he would go along. It was his duty - it was demanded of him. His own feelings were irrelevant, weren't they? Tearing his mind away from such thoughts, he turned to stare out at the warships in orbit around Cadia. It was clear this was going to be a military operation of epic proportions. Undoubtedly, many of these men and women would never see their home again. Once the Thunderhawk reaches the Revenant, Soul Reaver rises without a word and exits the craft. It is not long before Bendon greets him at the exit, and then informs the companions that they are waiting for Cameron. Soul Reaver merely nods and broods in silence.

He does get excited when he sees all of the warships waiting in space, pointing out the window and giggling. But other than that he was subdued and quiet. Even someone as carefree as he is knows the weight of the situation. It has been a long time since he has been part of something this important. And dangerous. "Here's to hoping I don't die again..." He mumbles. ____ Kitharsis turns and looks at Kelvack after hearing his morbid statement. He didn't know much at all about the shapeshifter, and his constant mood swings were unsettling. If Kelvack were to lose control in The Eye, surrounded by so much evil, it would be catastrophic. And yet, what of himself? What if the dark energy inside his own body were to react with the evil surrounding him in The Eye. The pain from unleashing only a small amount of it was devastating. Kitharsis did not want to even consider letting all of it pass through his tattoos. _______ Kelvack and Kitharsis follow the others to the bridge, both thinking on what might be in store for them.

The man who addresses them is unfamiliar to her. He informs them that they are waiting for Cameron. Something within Faidth twitches as she gazes upon another unfamiliar procession. Two women... and a man... The stranger that had joined her on the ship is also nearby. Just being in the same room with them makes her skin feel as if it is on fire. What is going on? She closes her eyes hoping her senses will reveal something that maybe she has missed. Her skin bubbles as she feels live flames coursing beneath the epidermis. Alarmed, Faidth's eyes snap open. Something about these people doesn't feel right...

His begins to think of all the men and women who are right now aboard those vessels, many of whom know they will not survive to see victory. Father, please take care of them and their families. The angel comes out of his thoughts to hear the Admiral inform them that they are waiting for Lord Aileron to open an entrance into the Eye. Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.

Posts: 232 Apr 12 06 2:30 PM Alter-Ego Character More My Recent Posts	As the vampire follows the rest of the companions onto the bridge his eyes settle on the Eye of Terror and all of the warships gathered near it. He then begins to think of what might happen once they enter into the Eye and begin to battle the Chaos. What if the evil within the Eye allows my Beast to gain control. I cant go back to what I was....not now.....not ever. Sic vis pacem para bellum - Latin - If you want peace...prepare for war.
