On Soul Reaver’s advice you do not approach the horsemen too closely, preferring to remain at a respectful distance and watch them from beneath the shade of a tall tree. While they would not be hostile, it would not be a good idea to disturb them, or they would challenge you, asking you to state your business and justify your presence.
The horsemen appear to be conducting exercises, galloping in-formation at high speed and wheeling sharply. A commander calls out orders or signals them on a blaring horn. Their red and gold banner flutters in the wind as they move at gallop across the grass. There are armoured knights wielding lances and more lightly-armoured mounted bowmen amongst the group, and they are obviously highly disciplined.
The ground rumbles even here from the pounding of the horse’s
hooves. You realize that on terrain such as this, these horses would make the
knights deadly foes.
You and Soul Reaver silently watch the knights training.
If you wish, you can ask Soul Reaver to tell you more about the knights, or you can walk back to the fields where you arrived. If you prefer, you can travel further west to the chasm in the distance. You may also request that Soul Reaver take you to the cliff that he mentioned earlier. Finally, you may instead desire to leave this place entirely and re-enter the Warp.
